However, personally, I find that the moderator herself tends to hit out at people who start topics related to sex by making sarcastic remarks and I know I'm not the only who who thinks so. Her very actions encourage others to flame those who start sex-related topics. Resulting in lots of posts that are not related to the original thread topic.
I guess bopian lor. The moderator has her own views also. Its up to the others to support her or not.
For example the masturbation thread by tube_girl. Started out as a girl asking about things I think lots of girls ask about and write to women's magazines about. As far as I know, it's a genuine topic if you ask me. Tube_girl may be a guy pretending to be a girl but we don't know that for sure do we?
Its really up to the public whether they wanna support that particular topic at all. And lots of them show their discontent by
If you ask me people like Cortez deserved all the hate from other forumites for the kind of threads he used to start, but not every person who starts a sex-related thread is a pervert or an idiot waiting to be flamed. Some people just want to chat and to talk, simple as that. Flaming wars are not on that agenda.
What to do? Flaming may be a way to vent anger or something.
I think SumOne has been ard quite awhile and posted this from experience. -

So far I've only been commenting on what happens, and so far, no one has denied that this happens. Whether lame posts and off-topicness is right or wrong, I'm saying it happens. What the moderators want to do it's up to them, I'm just bringing up the issue that it happens. Of course, I also repeat my stand that an Adult forum should be one where people can discuss adult issue objectively and maturely. Point to note though that someone has suggested a lack of maturity in the general public here.
So perhaps such a forum cannot exist here? Whether moderator or rules allow it, is the maturity level here high enough? Not stating anything regarding the maturity, but just wondering any views on this?

I want to add my voice here as I did observe in another thread how eventually every topic gets taken over by small talk completely unrelated to the topic.
Yes, you are right, it is the culture here. But it is also the nature of the contents of the "bar" forum that makes deviating more common. It is very lifestyle and general and ppl do tend to move on to other things within a thread.
Not like in military nuts for example where everyone is very focused on the topic.
But since there really isn't much any of us can do about ppl deviating from the topic then may as well get used to it. Just hope they'll moderate their frequency if the Mod doesn't do it.
