U are very naive, and very sadly mis-informed. there's no need for any "evidence" for molest. All that is needed is a woman's accuse to put u behind jail for 24-48 hours. (24 MINIMUM!) So NEVER put urself in a situation where u are alone with a woman that u dont know. I never take the lift alone with a woman. In the MRT i always put out my hands to where everybody can see them, and make sure no girl is directly in front of me also (to prevent them accusing me of poking their backside).

I was supposed to be meeting him that fateful nite and me and my friends were cursing and swearing why he's late for so long and still dont answer his HP. Little did we know the sh1t that happened to him.
He called me the next day, asked me to help bail him out. yes... the NEXT DAY. He was thrown into a prison and was being treated like a prisoner. Dont believe in the "you get one phone call" sh1t they always say on TV. It dont work that way in real life. U get the call as and when the police lets u to. and of course the police are there to make hell out of ur life. They tried to threaten my friend, threaten to tell his family, etc. All those officers there mis-treated him, didnt even give him ONE SIP to drink. He asked for water and they look at him and walked away. Many times they would hurl insults at him, swearing at him, labelling him as a "molester".
After his bail, he was repeatedly asked to go to the police station for who-knows-what. Just one call, even in late night, and he has to "report" there. Since he was in NS, his unit was informed of his case. Imagine all the mental stress he gets from this. What do you think the people in his camp were thinking?
I was asked to testify for him, since me and my friends were supposedly meeting him. It's supposed to help him since if he were meeting us, he has a reason to be there. The reasoning behind this is that usually, real molesters will not be meeting someone, they just go around "hunting" for their prey.
When I was there, i saw abit of how the police was treating the other "suspects". Just like what my friend described to me. They were forced to squat, their hands tied with those plastic tie straps (those that u use to tie up and cant release - need to use cutter to cut), hands over their heads. They were being kicked around (not hard kicks), basically being treated like animals IMO.
The staff sergeant who was taking down my statement begin quite politely, however, after he found out that i was a sergeant in my camp, he tried intimidating me in a way, saying that he knows this so-and-so Colonel in my camp. And his attitude started to be quite bad from then onwards. I was thinking - wtf is he think he is doing? Who cares who u know in my camp, I'm not a suspect and get this type of treatment? I started to get abit frus, also triggered by what i see around me- how they mis-treat the other suspects in that room. So I start abit "guai lan" with him, only then he go mild abit. This goes to show what type of people we have there. Very bad impression.
For MONTHS, they keep asking my friend to go back to the station. Sometimes, when he reach there, they say "oh nothing, u can go back". Other times, he waits for countless hours, then asked to go home.
I think they trying to stress him out mentally, so he would admit to molesting the girl.
Sometime later, they even asked if he wanted to take a LIE DETECTOR test. Luckily, another friend of his is working in the police force and this police friend told him NEVER to take the Lie detection test. The test is taken by officers - meaning sergeants and below - and since a lie detection test is never proven as a 100% accurate, they can always use it to your disadvantage. Of course during the test u dont know what questions they will ask, and what will happen to you (or what is being done to you) so u can imagine what the test "results" can be. They keep pestering my friend to take the test, and keep threatening him that the girl is pressing charges, and he is gonna to be in court, possibly jail and cane terms awaiting him.
The thing is: YOU DONT HAVE TO TAKE THE LIE DETECTION TEST! Do you think if you are in court the final verdict will rely alot on the result that proves you are innocent of molest? Instead, only the opposite is true - if the test proves u are lying - u get very much -ve points there.
Finally, after months of hell for my friend, the girl dropped charges. He wasnt really rid of all the stress, since all those around him look at him with suspicion.
ALL THIS JUST BECAUSE A GIRL SCREAM "MOLEST". No evidence at all, but still u go thru all this sh1t.
P.S > compare typical sentence for molester, to a typical sentence of girl lying to police. Even after so many proven cases of girls lying to police they get molested, nothing is being done. the penalty is very very minor compared to what the accused suffered. Some of u might remember the commando molesting the girl case, he was innocent. Many similar cases appeared after his, and people were asking for the sentence to be heavier if the victim is found lying. Sad to sat, til now nothing happened.

It's not that simple, and you get into ALOT of trouble. Are you prepared to be imprisoned for at least 24 hrs? This is just the beginning Your family will be told about the incident as well.
It's basically very difficult for guys to defend ourselves once we are accused, much less having any chance for a case against her.
