  That was back in '95, when the NDP was going to be held there, and the spectators stand was already up with all the wirings and lighting system mounted. Just a couple of weeks before NDP, Our unit was asked to go to the Padang and do guard duty at night, as there was acase of vandalism (cutting some wirings or something like that). It was somewhere around 1~4am, when we noticed a couple going pass the Padang and then make out at a secluded corner......too bad we didn't go lia kou!!!
