Microsoft has released the latest Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 for users to update and install. IF YOU ARE NOT USING THE ORIGINAL VERSION OF WINDOWS XP, PLEASE DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT INSTALL IT!!!
According to one of my friends who is currently working in Microsoft, the update file requires original CD Key and registered version of Windows. If the file detects it is a pirated version then the Entry Point will be lost and you will never go into your Windows when the next time you restart. So becareful when Windows asks you to update your Windows, it is a trick to punish those who are not using original Windows. -

yea, i didnt know and i upgraded my window xp
then when i restart, it cant found my entry point
and i was thinking of reformat my comp
but i tried go to the setting where we choose to go
safe mode, safe mode with bla bla and so on
there's one choice is 'good configuration bla bla bla'
something like that
and i chose that.. and then YAY! im back with my window
lol... lucky

im using a pirated version of windows...and so is my fren....and we both installed windows service pack 2...and here i am...still in windows...online and in this forum...

Your friend must be one of the unlucky ones who didn't get SP2 to work the way he wanted it to work.

its just a rumour lah. some stories even more exaggerating, like sp2 will format your hard disk if you using pirated etc. but its all rumours.
still, my advise is DON'T INSTALL SP2, its the most irritating "upgrade" ever. -

no i got 2 pc ... this 1 is my personnal 1.. the 1 in the livng room got problem liao.. my sis just install it.. now cannot go in woindos le

try press F1 F2 F3 F4 F5(i forgot) and so when its showin what cd rom ur using and so on once u start ur com, that page
then it will bring u to the setting right, which u can choose safe mode or something..
choose the one with what good configuration bla bla
i forgot too
that will works, bcos it works for me

Press Del, it goes to CMOS and BIOS settings, press f8, it goes to Safe Mode or Normal Mode and blah³... press F4, and F4's songs will be played. oh baby baby baby... duhhh

Like what I always say.. you can save on anything but not the OS.

depend on your luck to remove the SP2.. my frenz is a genuine CD key but still having problem after removing SP2.. finally, reload the OS...
Jus DUN install the SP2.. -
i heard sp2 got ton of problems esp. for those whu play online game. for my advice stay clear of sp2 if u don understand it stick with xp n sp1 or like me use win 2000 better after my xp gave me lot of problem last time...i been using win2000 n no problem so far...

Your best bet is to fully read finish the instructions set out nicely by meecrosoft before you make a decison whether or not to d/l and use it. End of the day, its the end user, which is you who makes use of it. Who's fault? Your fault, don't want to read first lah.
