i'm using the sata harddisk but i dnno how to configure the raid.. got choose sata but i never install the raid drivers... is it useful?

To those who think that this is a waste of money....what can i say.....some ppl spend money on cars, others on clothes.....there is no definition on what to spend anyway.....we just spend on what we like best most.....so what can we say on spending money on cars.....

i dun think you need to configure raid at the HDD. RAID capabilities are controlled and configured by the raids controller cards (purchased separately) but most newer motherboards comes raid enabled and with up to 4 SATA connections. for such mainboards, it can be configure at the BIOs setup i guess so there is no need to purchase rail ctrl cards anymore if you are not using more than 4 or 6 drives all at once.Originally posted by bigdeal:i'm using the sata harddisk but i dnno how to configure the raid.. got choose sata but i never install the raid drivers... is it useful?
