Yep acer is value for money, IBM is good for its built and quality but sux at gaming.
Anyway i think he decided on the acer one.

IBM is not dull looking. It's black. If any of you is worried, just know that the colour will never wear out next yr or the yr after next cos IBMs' laptop will be black. As for other brands,let's say the in colour is silver this year but white the next and finally orange. Then wouldnt the people know the year of your laptop by its' colour ?

Dunno leh. My brother's IBM T42 keep crashing for some reason but I think it is due to some software conflict coz he does some of his engineering computing or something but he said his friends who are using Acer and Fujitsu don't have the same problems that he does when they have the same programs.

When the softwares clashes, are his files still safe and sound? That's what the IBM ppl say..
