How are you managing to pay for it? I see lot of people in NUS with cars... even P platers... The frens that I know of, don't even own their own cars, it's either their parents cars, or they share with their brother...Originally posted by sengseng0509:Hi,
I bought a Nissan March last April and I was 22 last year. Still studying in NUS. Going to graduate this year.
Cheers,

Tips: Study hard, get a good job later. Now you are better off using whatever money you have for trips. I live in the east too, and studied NUS. I even survive through 2 years of working in Pandan garden and Lakeside. Now in Alexander, driving.Originally posted by LH83:How are you managing to pay for it? I'd really like to own one too... but my parents can't afford it, and I don't have enough too... Cos really tiring to travel from the East to the West for school everyday... Ugh...
I need some tips... hehe...

Heh... so you're working part time to pay it back? If so, what work do you do? I can't see how the normal part time job of the common undergrad, that is, tutor, can pay enough... For bike maybe... but surely not for car...Originally posted by sengseng0509:Hi,
It's my own car, at first wanted to share with my elder brother but our schedule made sharing impossbile so we both each have our own car. Guess we're lucky to own our cars at such young age. I'm on scholarship so my fees are settled and my daily expenses (excluding car of course) are budget within the annual allownace.
Bought a car cos I always had problems getting taxi (either by flagging one or by booking) when I wanted to return home on weekend late nights. Yah, I understand how it feels to travel long distance from home to school, when I was in year 1, I had to travel back to schoool just for one tutorial and the travelling time was even more than lesson time. Sigh.
Cheers.
So you got scholarship to cover your daily expenses. There is still a question about the money you pay for the car, and the expenses that comes with it. Unless you are drawing 1.5k allowance per month, I don't see how you can manage?Originally posted by sengseng0509:......I'm on scholarship so my fees are settled and my daily expenses (excluding car of course) are budget within the annual allownace.
