take down his number and report him.... deserves the crap that his company is gonna give himOriginally posted by Praetorian111:This was the scenario
My dad was stopping at a traffic light junction when a taxi Bang onto the back of the car. Upon impact the driver, still sounded his honk. After which both parties came out of the vehicles to inspect the vehicles...
The outcome, my car's bumper remains intacted! But the taxi's bumper was totalled. It was at this moment when the taxi driver began to shout at my dad accusing him of reversing and rowing into his taxi and demanded conpensation.
This was an act of totally hooligan behaviour and I personally feels such behaviours should not be condoned.
The issue is 1) It was his fault as my dad's car was already in stationery mode at the traffic light junction.
2) There was a slope Yes, but the slope is declining type, meaning that in no way when a car be reversing or rowing backwards but will row move forward without brakes.
3) Demanding of compensation and threatening is an act of road bully and should be severely deal with.
The matter ended with my dad asked him whether he wanted to pursue the matter further by reporting to the police. The driver left immediately upon hearing this.
The outcome.... my car got a kiss on the butt.![]()

haha. how to the taxi driver drive off after the cab broke down?Originally posted by dorothy:yeah.. take down the number and write in an official complain letter.
There was once, I took this cab. In the midst of the journey, the cab broke down, and he accused my luggage being too heavy, that is why cab broke down.
Asked me to get down the car, and then drive off (claiming to send cab for repair)
I write in and complain. Not sure if they will really take action against the driver.
If u have his license plate no., come to Idac Portdowns tml b4 6pm look for Daniel, i'll help u submit a third party claim report then we'll assess the damage on your rear bumper. But if u r AIG, AXA or Nippon insured, u'll need to go STAR to get your SAS done. Me can't help liao.Originally posted by Praetorian111:This was the scenario

Np, if you can get a private settlement with that joker then no need to come Idac. still it's in your best interest to get a report documented and get your bumper assess. Given the scenerio, you have a win-win case against that cabby. Call me at 65556111 IDAC Portsdown if you have doubts.Originally posted by Praetorian111:my old car's bumper is totally intacted... maybe some paint off the bumper that's all.... anyway thanks. So now they are copying their BOSS behaviour as it has set an great example that Cabbies get away scot free even if they hit..... reason.... they are "STRESS and under SPECIAL Circumstances"
Nowadays, all accident have to be note down in some kinda form with signature from both driver. If without that still can claim ? What is the consequence if claim without that form ?Originally posted by 5.56:Np, if you can get a private settlement with that joker then no need to come Idac. still it's in your best interest to get a report documented and get your bumper assess.
