I had a great time on Saturday though I couldn't stay to chit-chat with the Marchies after the talk.
Thanks to the people who organised the event!!! I found the talk quite informative to an extend (though a bit too technical for someone like me).
But yeah, it helps in understanding the car better. So, if people were to ask, at least I can answer a bit here and there .... hehehe!
I think though, the most fun part for me is to finally put faces to the nicknames in this forum, especially the 'seniors' like:
Kamenrider - looks younger than I have envisioned but as friendly nevertheless.
Vandagal - always seemed like someone who loves food and hehehe ... when I first saw you, you were just finishing your cake. I still want the XXS polo-shirt if you have.
NYC- was obvious from your cap and T-shirt (though we were not properly introduced) - I like your car sound system!!
Marchmoo - can say hi to you next time since we live near each other.
Idyteh - hey, I can be your kaki for the polo-shirt, provided they have XXS.
Not forgetting Zoey, red_marchie, Aaron, Angpow - it's nice to know you guys!!!
and the rest whom I had no chance of getting to know but were there ... hope to get to know you next time. ... hopefully with my own march

ok guys, the talk was great...now i know that engine oil is good for us at 0W30 or 5W30....i juz got 4 quarts of Royal Purple 5W40 at S$12/- per quart for my 30k....any comments abt the price????NYC...any "HO LIAO" anot???

0w-30 or 5w-30 is indeed good, very thin and light ! Heating up is also very quick...! Is good to use 0w-30 when yr ride is new, after 2 years or 60k, you better stop using and switch to thicker oil 5-40... if not you can say good bye to your engine.
0w-30 Gives you better FC, but need to change every 5k-8k !
For normal 5w-40, 5w-50, 0w-40 ... is abt 10k before you change the engine oil. Is all abt managing the cost after all is almost the same.
I am using R. Purple 0-30, got it @$10 per 1L for my ride.

Thanks for the tip on Munching Monkies. Food was good and portions were small but it was alright as it suited us well. Unfortunately most of the items were finished when we went there. Anyway now I know how to get there, I will go earlier and also know what to order. Price is half of what you would spend in Spageddies. Dessert looks very tempting but we did not try it as we had some cake at home, but will most certainly try it on next trip. Good tip, my kids enjoyed it.

This issue has been around since we have our rides. Some how it was missed out during the TC talk, i mean a direct question to them ?... I ask Kman and Vandagal to ask them on the ATF and CVT is very much inline with the following issue of hard and rough when the 1st to 2nd gear kicks in.
Again lets hear from the rest...if they have this problem. Again our ride is 4 AT and CVT..! can't seems to nail the problem...! more work need to be done.
I dun really feel that much after changing my DROP in KNN air filter and DENZO sparkplugs !!! much better ride..! it also depends on your Accerelation and the way your accerelation.... footworks..! That's my own Experince !

May be arrange for coffee session and i will ask the distributor to deliver it down. $10 per 1L....! Is 0w-30 or 5w-30 ! Gives you better FC, lighter feel but you have to change after 5k-8k .....! if you do your maths is the same.. for using 5w-40 and change after 10k. ( BUY ME COFFEE !!!!

Royal Purple, do not have 0w30, 5w30 yes. And its recommended to extended drain interval of 12000 miles which is 19200km, then go for oil change, not 5k or 8k. u may visit www.royalpurple.com

Moreover you were there during the QB event and last Saturday. Anyway talk rot session usually anytime what no need to wait till Sat. However Sat morning and afternoon I am ok. -
