a better buy will be toyota altezza.. it even haf after market turbo kit that is approve by e LTA.Originally posted by AF1:The current Lexus IS model is about 6 to 7 years. I'm not sure whether Borneo Motors are still taking orders for this particular model, but from car mags, I still do see the IS listed. I would just like to look into feedbacks from anyone who has driven this car. If this car is still sold at Borneo Motors, do you guys think it is a worthy purchase? It has been quite some time since I have seen newly registered ISs..
The IS200 is still sold at BM. I think they are selling it for 119K. But there is a new IS model coming soon..the IS250Originally posted by AF1:The current Lexus IS model is about 6 to 7 years. The IS200 model is about 6 year old. The Altezza is the 4 cylinder version and has a toyota badge.Originally posted by waattaa!:are u sure its 6 - 7 years old? i thought a new IS200 came out bout 2 -3 years back. Aint the toyota altazza the same thing? if im wrong sorry.
The IS200 is not even 120, my parents had an offer at 98K maybe becos my dad already owns one. But she got a latio instead. Downgrade from A-class lmao.
V6. I heard they are even considering a diesel engined version (turbo charged I would assume) for the European market.Originally posted by w88:new IS looks much better than old model -- wait for the new ones -- only downside is that the smallest petrol engine will be 2.5l -- should be 6 cylinders

98K? BM must be trying to clear their existing stock to make way for the new IS![]()
e Altezza is a more powerful model than e IS200.. but wif e toyota badge... snap on e turbo kit it will be great..Originally posted by waattaa!:are u sure its 6 - 7 years old? i thought a new IS200 came out bout 2 -3 years back. Aint the toyota altazza the same thing? if im wrong sorry.

The dashboard of the new GS is sporty but the portion between the two front seats are rather bulky...it is like having a table there. And the GS sold here has too much word panels. It would be better if they had more titanium/metal colored panels. More sporty that way.Originally posted by TwinTurbo_Supra:honestly, i prefer this to the GS.
the GS doesn't look very nice at certain angles but this is chio everywhere!![]()
119K about one month back. It comes with 17" rims and full body kit. Go test drive it lor...than bargain with the sales girl...Originally posted by AF1:yea guys.. im aware that the new IS250 is due soon and that was what struck me to consider the current IS you see.. Might get a good deal out of it if BM is really trying to clear stockAnyone knows the exact selling price of it after discounts and etc?
yeah, i'd take this over the new 3 series and C class.Originally posted by I_am_PeTe_Parker:The dashboard of the new GS is sporty but the portion between the two front seats are rather bulky...it is like having a table there. I wonder how the interior of the new IS will be like? Don't know when BM is launching them here.
ES is just a rich Camry...Originally posted by AF1:and yes.. the GS is really a neat car imho.. I love its styling.. Looks like Lexus is heading the correct directionThe ES is a nice car too but a little too inproportionate in its styling.. small wheels on such a huge car and also an antenna that sticks out when the radio is turned on just to name a few.. no offence to ES owners though.. haha
