i still wouldn't call it pretty. an SL55 is so much prettier, and i'd take a megane cabrio for its French quirk over the SC anyday, while the boxster beats it for funkyness. And the S2000 is one up over the SC where hardcore driving is concerned. and they're all cabrios.Originally posted by AF1:yea i must agree that the SC430 is very feminine.. probably due to its less sharp exterior design compared to other roadsters.. SC430's seems to be very round in its design.. very retro and sort of like an old man's cabrio? though there's a 20 odd year old guy who owns one of those that's living in my estate with a hot babe girlfriend![]()

So how does it handle? Wanted to test drive it when I went looking for the Altis.I used to drive an Alpha 156 selespeed. In comparison, the IS's pickup is not so hot, doing 11+ sec from 0-100kph compared with the 156's 8+ sec. The steering is also not as sharp nor as well weighted but still quite good.
i heard a 156 full throttling until redline yesterday and i swear it sounded like a modena.Originally posted by suntze:I used to drive an Alpha 156 selespeed. However, the IS's weight is better balanced due to the rear wheel drive and cornering is a real joy, without any sign of understeering which is clearly noticed in the 156. The ride is also softer on the IS but still quite sporty.
I must say on the whole, I missed my 156 but I sold it because it was starting to give me some problems after some 4 yrs on the road. I am hoping the built quality will be much better in the IS......
