ok look at it this way.
the gahmen spent so many workhours drafting out a plan, including scripts, media reports, project timeline, location, $$ involved, etc etc all these like showbiz u think for fun? wasted so many resources and time to come up with a show and now u telling them to scrap the whole idea? No way!
Also a change in plans would only show that they are "incapable" or "WRONG" (a big no-no word ) in deciding what issues to look at. Much less the chance of competely throwing the whole project away.
Now u understand why the show must go on?

how precise u have said. Its all a wayang kinda thing. First come the slightest hint that we may built a casino. Then come all the hoo-haa about the cons. Then u see a gradual yet noticeable change in the way media presents the whole thing. From No-No to maybe to it-could-do-us-good....
Since when did we common singaporeans ever have a say??? in anything???
