Ppl not like u got the "TYPE-R" Badge there leh...Originally posted by tailslide:eee. y buy gsr? the fl looks more "refined" with its straight cuts and cluster lamps. the pre-fl looks chunkier and more "fierce" IMO. no change in specs AFAIK.
insurance is bout the same for the gsr lah. both considered performance sports coupe.Originally posted by TRD_Sport_M:insurance will be high for type R
if u get the type S than convert to type R only cost around 10k
but u have e type R chasis.
auto tranny spoil faster if u play always play the +-
manual more easy to open lah, just nid to shift fast
auto, they shift by themself, most of the time, will not be in vtec range.
even the +- will not help much...

even if u spend 10k to get the parts, u still need to pay the workshops to fix 1) ur new engine,
2) new engine harness,
3) new ecu,
4) new fuel system,
5) new extractors,
7) new exhaust,
8 ) new steering,
9) new gearbox,
10) new transmission link,
11) new drivelines/shafts,
12) new brakes,
13) new suspension,
14) new sway bars/strut bars,
15) new seats,
16) new steering wheel,
17) new color coded interior panels,
18 ) new cluster gauge,
19) new front/rear lip,
20) new spoiler....
before u can pass off as a R. end of the day, u also wun have the R chassis. the R chassis offers more rigidity and less likened to flex during corners. not 2 mention the trouble and heartache u're likely to suffer with the loss of transport from the job and the amount of return trips u have to make to the workshop for troubleshooting.
spend so much, do so much, end up can only sell the car as a GSR coz no dumbass would pay for a type-R depreciation after ur aftermarket job. worst still, kena caught by lta or get into an accident ur insurance company dun cover all the type-R parts u sank ur money in. wot for?![]()
buy half cut also wun give u the complete fuel, brakes and exhaust system. plus like i said, u dun get proper R chassis to begin with. u r quoting "10k" and thats the half cut price. new one can 4get about getting the parts at that price. somemore no guarantee things will be up and working by the time u are done. might as well have bot the R in the first place.Originally posted by TRD_Sport_M:i tot gsr is consider as coupe only
actually no nid everything new, just buy half cut
buy a new car lor. like dat yr mind can be ease.Originally posted by zc11:Hey is it ok to buy an integra GSR if i am the 3rd owner?? its 11/2002. mileage 60,000Km( which i think is quite alot, my car going to 5yrs only 69,000km)
but it is under KAH motor warranty, which is quite rare cause KAH only sold a few units of integra gsr at that time and mostly is P.I(parellel importer).
So is it ok to get the car in the 3rd owner position ? but 2 owners in 2.5 yrs is not a good thing ya?![]()
can anyone help me out ? any suggestion ?![]()

forget it. even if it was really from KM, there's probably only 6 months warranty left or worst, none at all left coz it already hit 60k mileage. wats the point of lusting after something that wun be tangible after half a year?Originally posted by zc11:Hey is it ok to buy an integra GSR if i am the 3rd owner?? its 11/2002. mileage 60,000Km ( which i think is quite alot, my car going to 5yrs only 69,000km)

for yr refernce, all drive lesser mileage, and only one owner, and cheaper. and still cna bargain usually.
For cars like integra, better to get a new one. As most owners would have wacked the car pretty hard. In ur case for a 2.5yrs KM integra, is way overpriced, a brand new one cost only 86K. Somemore 2nd owner. Trying to pass most of the depreciation to you, or making a fast buck.Originally posted by zc11:so lets say for this 2 cars in the add right. is it better to get a new one or is it ok to get from the 2nd hand ?
can tell me the advantages and disadvantages for both ???
thx alot because i need to make a decision sooon![]()

but the cars come with kits and accessories like HID, mugen s/rims, typeR suspension, all this add up to quite alot of $$$ ya ? if i get new one and add all this it will be probably another 10k.Originally posted by ernie77:For cars like integra, better to get a new one.
