My only advice to those road hoggers is dont rent a car when you are overseas, cause the chance of you being killed will be very high. -
it would appear that very little can be said about the stick-in-the-mud mentality of drivers who persist in either road hogging or tailgating as if it was their god given rite.
we often bend the law and test our luck when drivin on the roads, be it speeding in order to overtake a slower vehicle, or following too close coz of a slower vehicle. to both, they are probably as smart as the other party that thinks he's stupid. basic rules of engagement and responsibility for self and other road users applies in all cases. if u get away with it without a speedin ticket or invlove urself in an accident, fine. better luck next time. but if u get caught 4 it, then be prepared to pay the consequences of going to court/pay money, and/or get urself/others hurt/maimed/decapitated or killed.
simple. wats there to argue?

However, we do have to be clear on 1 thing too. Although the much debated fact of whether a max speed limit driver is actually a road hogger illegally or morally, I think we should put this example 1 side and prehaps realise the bigger picture. That is always keep to the left whenever possible, and don't push the driver into giving way. Giving way is an act of coutesy, nothing is going to happen if you ask for it in the wrong way. Same goes to playing pang and slightly refuses to give way.
Are we going to fight all the way to the roads, or are we going to learn and understand prehaps the reason behind each act (NO REASON FOR TAILGATING). If both side can't work it out, fine. I can always drive on the third lane (Now lorries and vans are zooming at 80kph too, so still not very slow, good for FC too). -

The logic is simple. Road hogging, though inconsiderate, is afterall still considered safe driving and law abiding.
Tailgating is impatient, aggressive and dangerous driving. Even if the bugger in front of you travels too slow and block your way, being a road user, even if you are in a critical hurry, you still have a responsibility to keep a safe distance behind him to minimize any chances of a collision if he happens to jam-brake.
Very simple, in a crowded pathway, you are in a hurry and the people in front of you walk too slow and obstruct your path, they are NOT at fault for causing your delay. If you accidentally bump into him, he can bloody sue you if he wants to. you CANNOT sue him for obstructing your path ok.

On the road, what matters most is safe conservative driving to minimise accidents ok, NOT risky driving to minmize time wastage. If you are those type of drivers with mentality that time saving is more important than road safety, and i see no reason why i should waste my time arguing with you any further

I HATE TAILGATERS... still rem 1 time at TPE.... was driving 100km/h at the right lane... then 1 stupid subaru right behind me tailgate me... at first thought i drive too slow... so increase the speed to 120km/h... the bugger still tailgate me... He could have easily overtake me using the left lane at that time... there was not much cars then...but he didn't want....so i du lan... slow down to 90km/hr for the rest of the trip.....

Don't give way some more want to speed up. Show how little your driving skill is. If people tailgate you speed up you think they won't follow is it?
Already say not so much traffic and you don't want to go off overtaking lane. Other driver must over take on left. Your kind of ch**by driver should be ban from the road. -

well..frankly speaking, i found those who like to criticize road hoggers and label them as selfish bastards kind of absurb and ironic
if in the case of emergency only for yourselves, you exceed the speed limit and desperately weeze in and out of the traffic recklessly without signalling, tailgate the front vehicle closely, endangering the lives of other road users, don't even give a damn about the safety of other road users, if this kind of behavior is not called selfish, then what is it called?
