I'm driving a Lancer and from SLC. Had a night with the gang to PG and met the silver march at the patrol koisk on the way. What i've shared with you guys are knowledges that was shared with me by my friends. They have done it and i've seen it, hear it, ride on it. I don't dare to comment much about "modding" March as the configuration is different.
By the way, Lennie's ride is fast. His 1.4L tore some 1.6L cars !

Lennie's ride is fast as i believe he has open pod and done a few things to mod the car...............read that the 1.6L latios are heavier than our march cars.....bet he removed all the junk /seats/wheel/cover frm the car boot..... -
Indeed is fast, as i had posted a few msg before and mention his ride is one of the few K12 that is pack with some fire power. Dun you worry abt your GF's ride... there are many more stock rides here..! There is no discrimination, stock or non stock Is still a march both under this club ! she wont feel alone..! I guess your Lancer is the MIVEC version pack with some good Ingredients ...! Nice of you to join in to this forum..!! May be we can try a join meet up like March1Z and SLS... !

She's not really lucky that i wash her car but i can't stand the sight of the car turning "grey" and once awhile "poker-dots" design.

The Lancer is on a 1.6 GDI SOHC engine. The MIVEC one you're talking about is the 1.8L Lancer. Low Ride? you change your suspension sytsem? What drive is your car? Auto or Manual? -
My ride is a 4AT MARCH comfort model...! is auto, there is no manual march in SIN..! unless it is SR12 .. no manual specs for our BK12. A chill rider for 1.4L hatchback...! Can't handle the TIEN wagon coil overs just too hard for my ride, before all my ICE falls off and the hums will ripe off my body kit hahaha. Change it to lower springs and stock socks, after two weeks of TIEN ( is good handling but u lose comfort)..! The lower springs gives a little more mid rage comfort. Is not the best compare to coil overs, but works for me ! hahaha ! not too low as my kit will be creamed, very often i cream my rear and front add on lips..even with lower springs. hahaha whole load of grandfather story...!Originally posted by RuStiE76:The Lancer is on a 1.6 GDI SOHC engine. Gee.. it's a waste that SG doesn't have the SR12. I'm sure that baby will fly! I do feel that the stock suspension system is hard enough, especially going over humps. That's bad that you creamed your kit. How did you creamed it? The parking lot is big enough

stock shocks and springs are softer compared to after market coil overs and springs. The stock socks are more for city drivingÂ…hums, min pot holes, small roads and urban condition. 80% of the car parks in town is screwed.., I do cream in occasionally under carriage. Not the sides dude.. ! I am aware of the parking lots!!! HahahaÂ… Can never have passages with me when I enter carparksÂ… even alone I have to ZizAG a hum, slop and down slop. 2 & half fingers for front, 3 fingers for rear. Running on 16 inch dish rims. That's bad that you creamed your kit. How did you creamed it? The parking lot is big enough or you hit it when you go over humps? What rim size are you on?
SR12 is good, 2 door micra....! PI these babes like the SR 160 and SR 15 these are hot machines.. a 1.6L for Euro market (left hand drive, out !)... and the 1.5L Latio Engine( new facelift )... "pending from TC to price it at a correct price and not kill the work horse Sunny, latio and the over price the new march".. ! If the 1.5L comes in it will be normal Auto CVT...! For now there is no manual MARCH in SIN, as i know off, is all Auto. But there is one black MICRA 2door driven by a local Celebrity, amlost 2 over years old.. Dam cool..! There are sightings of another 2 door micra white k12 aroundÂ…! No confirmation yet..!

The " boy racer" image is very much sunken in the local culture here.. is abt speed and big stciker endosement for race brands, dun forget they have their own design and idea of stickers two tumbs up for them ! SG cars are very directly japanese influence and also the japan VIP look is still very much alive here ! To each it's on and their pasion ! Is the look they want to Portrait their ride..! A dress up car is a dress up car..!
I have a "peace" and loving ride, not for speed, cant do a 0-100 below 12 secs... even a stock march can take me out..! hahaha...! is a dress up car "slow and low" that's what's all abt...! ( low rider ) you can hear me before i arrive... ! hahahaha...!

different models and makes have different "recommended" colours by the manufacturers selected by the design teams. This is to project the character and image of the model/make the designer wants to project.
Racing Red looks nice on a Alfa Romeo, but try putting that on a Jaguar. similarly Yellow is nice on a Lamborgini but not on a Mercedes, or dark green on a VW beetle...
That is why you see only a few selected stock colours on the colour chart of a model and make. of course economy plays part of the role. but mainly its the suitability of the colours to the car.
the march is a "lively" and "happening" car, its for youngsters, ladies or happening pple. apart from being suitable in serious colours like black and brown (sexy!), it can also accomodate bold colours like bright yellow, orange or brown.
its like Brad Pitt will look nice even in singlet and slippers. Ah Bengs will look like Ah Beng even in tuxedos.
this is one wonderful feature that not many cars can shout about, and we should be proud of it. -

Gotta know that there's not much difference between 15" to 16" but 15" to 17" with low profile tyres will make the diff. What brand are the rims? Your dream rims? any pic of it? Sat on a Hummer H1 before and that was during my NSF days while training in Taiwan.
True that the culture here is different. In SG, it's about who gets to the next traffic light first and that's about burning fuel just for pick up. Talking about dressing up, i like the Impul kit alot. Makes the K12 looks like a little monster on the loose. -

It is a small island here, if the trill is to get to the next traffic light as fast as possible and wait for the next 50 sec or more.
For sure it is trilling for themÂ…! So having good pick up cars have the advantage if they going for short sprints..! 100 m dash..!
I respect all cars on the road, accept for cab drives they mass you up all the time when you are on the roadsÂ…..!
Owning a car is expensive in this country compare to the others around the religion !

Not bored at all...learning how the rich is decorating their cars ...interesting reading.
This morning travelling from Bona Vista turing into a lane towards work...a stupid car beind me kept horning me to move out...I got a total of 5 horns from him...
I careless, as I know I will not step on my oil to make the kill... I ignored him totally...when I move, he had the chance to over take me but he is still caught in the traffic.
That is now impatient drivers of bigger and stronger cars are these days. -
My car is due for inspection already...got the mail from LTA ..wonder which is the best inspection centre to go to. the nearest is in Ayer Rajah road for me...ST if not mistaken.
If I get there to quee b4 8 am will be it good to bid all the others
