New BMW 318 vs Audi A4 2.0L

Need some advise here. After test-driving both cars, I like both cars very much, but given very limited budget, and garage space, I can only get either of them. Which of them do you guys think I should buy and why?
Correction. I mean the new BMW 320 and not the old 318 -
test drove both cars before leaving for canada. just tried the new vw jetta (bora in sg) cos i was thinking of getting one. I kinda like the vw better. just hate the chris bangle bimmers.

No VW for me. Can't stand their designs, especially the Passat. this friend test drive many cars b4 and is quite well knowledge in cars so i take it as his opinion has some weight -
318 made in South Africa, A4 made in Germany.
Have not try the 318 yet, but i prefers the A4 exterior and interior look and space. 10-speaker Sound system is pretty good too.
I tot the previous BMW3 look nicer than current. -
If you are talking about quality, there's no way the Beemer can beat the Audi. If you are talking about handling, the 318 is definitely better. If I were you, I will take a good hard look at the Volvo S40 T5. Best compromise of both.

i dont think u can get a new 318 the base model is now the 320 anyway to answer your question i would choose the 320 over the A4 2.0 anytime but since you've got the money why not opt to look at the A4 1.8T now thats a car after my heart the 325 is pretty gd too but its a bit on the high side at 170k

BMW 318 meaning.. second hand?
Because for 3 series, PML sells the 320iA.
I think in terms of performance, reliability, go for the BMW. -

I thought of the S40 too but couldn't convince myself to have a 2nd look at the dashboard. i'll go for the new A4. reason being i like it more than the new BMW 3 series.
but if u take A4 n BMW 5 series....i'll take the 5 series anytime. that's another thing altogether.

Hey! no offence. I haven't sat in a 93 before but from the pictures that I gathered from the web, there are far too many buttons. Also, I've got an issue with the nobe on the air-con vent. Btw, I heard that the new Saab 9-3 1.9TiD runs on diesel. Is that true. If that's the case, getting this car will save me lots of gas money. -
Actually, is there anyone out there who can give me more technical-wise answers to my question? I like both cars exterior just as I like both cars interior. Guess my choice will boil down to the technical specs, and I'm dumb in this area.

I have driven the new 330i before and I have to say that it is very well made. Amenities include lighted exterior door handles, the uber cool liquid that goes up when you set the cruise control on and not too mention how the audio will increase in volume as you speed up relative to the interior noise. However, it still falls short to the luxurious C-class. If it were not for the horrific design of the new 3, I would not have chosen the Audi A4. The new Audi is so much more macho-looking. I'd go for the new Audi anyday over the 4-door 3 series. -

and pls hor, engineers at BMW knows something abt the limits to the 3 series. every engine has its own limits mah. and if they are to tell the whole world abt their engine limitations, would anyone want to get the car in the 1st place?!!!
let's face it, the new 7 series was less than 2 yrs old when it screwed up big time too?! early to say anything abt the potential computer problems? i dun think so....
