what are the chances of one purchasing a sports bike, compared to purchasing a F1 car?Originally posted by tailslide:wanna bet? go check out timings of motoGP bikes and F1 cars on the same track. see who faster?![]()
actually, moto gp bikes cannot corner as fast as F1 cars. They don't have the advantage of aerodynamics. Thats why Valentino Rossi is having to learn to brake late and use aero to corner faster than he does on a bike, in preparation for his joining Ferrari F1 in 2007.Originally posted by alberteinstein:bikes in general are cooler. The look is fiercer than sports car. Performance wise, sports car also cannot win sports bikes. Go and see a kawasaki zxr600 and you know why. Gals may feel that bikes are cool, but they will stick with a guy with a sports car. This is reality.
with raincoat or poncho..... i still doubt very much most gers will choose motor over car...Originally posted by kopiosatu:with a good raincoat, rain isn't an issue for me.
you'll be surprised.Originally posted by huoye:with raincoat or poncho..... i still doubt very much most gers will choose motor over car...![]()
about the same as the chances of one being able to afford a sports bike vs a sports car.Originally posted by kopiosatu:what are the chances of one purchasing a sports bike, compared to purchasing a F1 car?
different what...we comparing market sports bikes and market sports car. Otherwise, you can even take those (dunno how to call) kind of cars that are designed to run in straight line only but faster than sound.Originally posted by tailslide:wanna bet? go check out timings of motoGP bikes and F1 cars on the same track. see who faster?![]()
actually sometimes i very pei fu these people. They can switch vehicles to easily. Driving and riding is so much different but he can switch like nobody's business(in the super level). These ppl are very talented.Originally posted by HENG@:actually, moto gp bikes cannot corner as fast as F1 cars. They don't have the advantage of aerodynamics. Bikes to drift?Originally posted by alberteinstein:different what...we comparing market sports bikes and market sports car. Otherwise, you can even take those (dunno how to call) kind of cars that are designed to run in straight line only but faster than sound.
Also, I am talking abt machine performance like acceleration and so on. If compare track time, I feel bike might lose cars because at turning they got to be slower than cars(that can use drifting). Anyone can confirm this?
why cars drift car stupid? It makes turning faster what...Originally posted by SBS9828X:Bikes to drift?
Or u mean car? If cars drift then they are stupid.
U think so? Drift actually is slower rite...Originally posted by alberteinstein:why cars drift car stupid? It makes turning faster what...
Yes, honestly say from girl's perspective, boy drives car even sports car also is a coward, car is designed for ladies and business man, men should challenge bike, if a man only drive a car, it is not enough man.Originally posted by ChairmanJay:Some people especially girls(some) said tat. is it true? i dun think so. sports cars are way cooler than bikes.
EDIT: Do Bikes look* cooler than Cars?
actually i dunno, but i infer. Otherwise, why ppl drift to make corners instead of just slowing down?Originally posted by SBS9828X:U think so? Drift actually is slower rite...
yup i will be...... but got to prove it 1st....Originally posted by kopiosatu:you'll be surprised.
can't say it's coward not to ride bike. Driving at high speed is also not a feat for the light hearted. It is only when some siao kia who drove a sports car and think he is the james bond or dunno which hero, then these siao kias are the cowards like that mazda guy. Wimps like a gooniang once an accident happensOriginally posted by PLC guy:Yes, honestly day form girl's perspective, boy drives car even sports car also is a coward, car is designed for ladies and business man, men should challenge bike, if a man only drive a car, it is not enough man.
a sports bike easily more affordable than a sports car anywayOriginally posted by tailslide:about the same as the chances of one being able to afford a sports bike vs a sports car.
i think the correct comparison u shd have asked was; wad are the chances of purchasing a motoGP bike compared to a normal sports bike?
what's there to prove when i've met people like that?Originally posted by huoye:yup i will be...... but got to prove it 1st....and eh..... den it will depends is the transport or the person dat matters to the gal
bikes can fishtail, only one person does that... rossiOriginally posted by SBS9828X:Bikes to drift?

hmm my judgement's out on rossi for now. he slid off the rally GB. as for F1 driver in rally, well its already happened. Mika Hakkinen did this Finnish Rally back in 03 was it? If i didn't remember wrongly, he was top 10.Originally posted by alberteinstein:actually sometimes i very pei fu these people. They can switch vehicles to easily. but i think the most interesting to watch is to see a f1 driver to drive in a rally championship. Dunno how it will turn out...
except aeroplane...Originally posted by HENG@:anyways to really settle the argument, it takes some guts to go fast on ANYTHING, be it cars, bikes, skateboards, bicycles etc
i dont know if we shld call it fishtail.. fishtail sounds like losing control when rear swings left and right.. i experienced fishtail once when i jam brake on raining day and when throttle too much at a wet and slippery petrol kiosk..Originally posted by kopiosatu:bikes can fishtail, only one person does that... rossi
i do believe it takes some guts to fly an airplane too.Originally posted by alberteinstein:except aeroplane...
well if fishtail is the rear end swinging left / right...Originally posted by onefour02:i dont know if we shld call it fishtail.. fishtail sounds like losing control when rear swings left and right.. i experienced fishtail once when i jam brake on raining day and when throttle too much at a wet and slippery petrol kiosk..
in a dvd titled "FASTER" that i have, the showed how gary mccoy slide the rear wheel. seemed to be even more amazing than rossi. but he has crashed out due to his dangerous riding style.
