To be very Honest, My honda civic after 38k, air con compressor gave way... i attribute it to my whacking and wear n tear... got some sounds here and there... i got rear ended twice, both times boot lid had to be replaced... compared to my previous sunny... it is really weak...
sales reps esp. car sales person can surf the net of course. but the difference here is that you started talking abt how ur civic is no good in terms of quality etc...even in this reply that is quoted in bold (last few words). this IMHO is not ethical of u as a car sales person to talk so much abt it. i have not come across a car sales person that likes to bash other makes/models online. i think u r my first encounter.
dun judge u? pls, do u need me to judge u? i think ur words n attitude towards this matter is enough for everybody to see. i am only replying to let u know not to go overboard in giving ur comments and not abt "cannot surf net" and so on. u have ur rights and so do i. just dun cross the line. it will make u seem not professional...esp when u r a mazda sales rep. pls promote frenliness amongst car sales person of different brands. no need to get ugly bcos of sales. if its urs, its urs.
if u consider this as whacking u, then i'll rather take an afternoon off and show u what is whacking...in ur car sales room. i believe i can achieve more whacking on the pros and cons of a mazda engine than on this. and of course, i say again that i dun need to whack u on the net. just wish to remind u to be more ethical in giving out ur comments on other branding.
lastly, i am not a car sales person. am in the IT biz. but i do like cars and mazda 3 is definitely one of them as it has the looks n certainly has come a long way since its 121, 323, 626 and so on series' days. dun get so worked up. only a frenly exchange of pointers.

sinicker, since ur dad has already confirmed that the mazda 3 is D car, then just enjoy the ride and make full use of it. its nevertheless a gd car.
there's alot of 'poison' for this car as well...browse their forum and join the car club.

Face it la snick, the Mz3 is not the best car neither is it the worst car. Its a pretty good daily drive imho. Don't dwell into the reality of comparing it to the 06' civic and or the opel astra or any other makes for that matter.Originally posted by sinicker:squeeze neck.

no lah.. the car is not for me.. i only use it once in a while. furthermore, my dad has worked a long time and he deserves to have a car of his own choice. so i tink i dun wanna argue with him already. my only worry is him maintaining a car and 2 m/cycles.

but having a bike is the more economical way of travelling around sg wiv all the parking charges and ever-rising fuel prices. yes pictures and stories are around we cant deny that. my 1st bro has 1 accident. 2nd bro had 2 accidents. but passion for two wheelers linger. it's a family thing i can say that. now i can only cycle around sg.

SINGAPORE : Some 4,000 owners of Mazda cars in Singapore will have their car brakes upgraded.
The upgrade to disc brakes from the current drum brakes is only for earlier productions of the Mazda 3 model sold before October last year.
The exercise is expected to cost Mazda some S$4 million.
Mazda 3s bought two years ago came standard with disc brakes for the front wheels and drum brakes for the rear.
But models made after October 2005 were equipped with four disc brakes.
Mazda Motor Singapore has stressed the upgrading exercise is not a recall, as the current rear drum brakes are not defective and don't pose any danger.
Said Phillip Lu, marketing manager, Mazda Motor Singapore, "The objective of this entire upgrading exercise is actually to align our earlier Mazda 3 specifications with the current Mazda 3 specifications."
Doing so will help cut down on the need to stock two different brake components for the same car model and streamlining parts procurement.
Those affected first heard of the upgrade through an online Mazda forum, and are clearly pleased the company is replacing the brakes at no cost.
Said Mazda 3 owner Lim Chee Keong, "Since Mazda Motor is doing the upgrade out of good will for us, I guess we're quite happy about it."
Another owner, Doris Lim, said, "Of course as a driver I feel very happy, because this is one of the value-add services from Mazda, and naturally as a driver I'll feel more secure with the disc brakes."
The disc brakes will take about four to six hours to install.
Said Mr Lu, "This is entirely an optional upgrade exercise. Customers can choose not to upgrade or upgrade, but we'd strongly encourage customers to upgrade because it is really at no cost to them."
Mazda says it has set aside five months for this entire upgrading exercise, during which affected car owners will be informed in batches to come and have their brakes upgraded. - CNA /ct -

mazda 3 n 6 is juz a "cannot run car"if u check it out..the speed kick up is really slow...n i tink it has turbo lag...
if ur going for the car bcuz of its sporty looks...try evo 9 or mx5 -

Yeah I agree that a bike is more economical, will gladly go for bike lessons if not for my parent's objections. Anyway what's wrong with an auto car? It's not true that young ppl die die must drive manual cars la.. After driving both manual and auto, I will prefer auto for the stop n go traffic in local context.. It's really no fun driving a manual in a traffic jam.
K back to the topic. Mz3 is indeed underpowered, but hey power is never enough. If u have a 330, u will lust for the power of the M3 etc.. Besides how much power do u need in local traffic? It's a solid car and will serve ur family well =) -
yeah. free parking at ck tang.. no there's nothing wrong wiv auto car. just that while my reflexes are still up and running, shud have the car's power in my hands with a manual car.
