Try Aeon Customs at 494 Changi Rd, look for Eddie...........as not too sure wht is the charges... dun forget that SP material works by mass-loading the panels of the floor board and doorskins. and hence makes ur car heavier => higher FC. -

Wah DIY sound proof, not that easy leh. becos when i saw the guy who did for me looks tough! Becos Sound proofing got two type, 1 layer and double layer. One layer like no effect. The inner layer is a tough job , is a big project! if u did it wrongly u will get urself into trouble, if u did not clean well, the SP mat will drop off after sometime.Originally posted by bbryan:

Sound proof is quite personal requirement. Depend what type of noise that u want to cut down, U go to Silent they will guide u.

i receive summon for speeding on pie - tuas road.. after looking at yellowpages i realised that is at the end of pie... near jurong...
Car was out on loan that day but friend said nowhere near Jurong during that time....
im puzzled..................... how???????????????? -

Illegal Racing = >$200 + Vehicle Confiscate + Court.
Fail to put Seat Belt = $120 + 3 demerit points.
Crossing Double White lines = $130 + 4 points.
Phone and Drive
$200 + 12 demerit point + Phone Confiscate.
Do not hold your hp in your hand when you drive even with loud
speaker or ear piece!
Drink Driving
Up to $5000 Fine And, or jail Term + Licence
Suspended + Court. For first offence.
2nd time offence = Jail term + Fine + Court.
Making an illegal U Turn when there's no U Turn sign = $70.
Fail to Signal when changing lanes = $70.
Driving at night without headlights or taillights switch on after 7pm
= $30.
No Number Plate = $70.
Obstructed Number Plate = $70.
Obscured Number Plate = $70.
Number Plate Of Unapproved Type = $70.

For this case, u can fill up ur frens particular behind or below of the summon where u declare that u r not the driver. if u got ur fren IC NO, Name and adderess. Double layer SP + - is abt 15kg per door. Add on 60kg for 4 doors on your standard stock march curb weight of 975kg
1. 975kg / 98 horse power = 9.9 kg per horse pull ( < 10kg per horse has good pick up )
2. 975kg +60kg(SP) / 98 = 10.7KG ( per horse pull )
( Single driver )
3. Actual weight : +-(FC) 40kg + 975 kg + 65kg (yrself) + (4rims) 36kg + ICE( 25kg ) + (SP) 60kg = 1201/98 = 12.3 kg per horse pull !
That is abt average 2.4 kg onto 1 horse pull added when driving ?
which is easier to pull with less effort, 12.4kg or 9.9 kg per horse ?
For a small car it does make a little difference in terms of performance.
Plus point: lesser wind noise, car more stable and more comfort if you SP !
FC will increase, power to weight ratio will be effected ?
Think abt it, what do you want (More top speed / pick up) or ICE or better FC !

60 kg is a lot of weight. Plus if add 16" rims, that will add 20kg per wheel. Too bad we only have 98hp to play with... -

I am sure Nissan japan did not develop a hybrid march using Electronic power ? May be you need PWB to install a generator to charge your march for more power ?? how abt solar !
20kg per rim & tyres ? your rims are made of steel or iron ?
Average 16 inch tyres is abt 3-5kg. Which means your rims itself is abt 16kg ?
if it is so heavy ? U cant even beat a 0 - 100 on the 206 Peugeot which clocks 13.8 sec at stock. The k12 is abt 11 sec !
You Definitely need more torque ?

Don't know the exact weight of the rims, but they sure seem very heavy when I'm changing wheels! -

Adding too much SP layers and HiFi system does increase the weight.
Can you really feel the 'lack of power' or 'lethargic' when the car is fully loaded up once in a while when the whole family is inside vs daily driving alone or with your GF/Wife?
In my opinion changing to heavier rim/tyre is worst, because the increased rotational mass is felt easily by the engine during acceleration phase.
Anyway....my mum's car is still not ready for collection....actually due mainly to my mum who is not in Singapore these few weeks! The SE called many times to my mum to delivery the good news....but my mum just cooly told him...sorry not now because she is travelling much this year end for overseas business!
I guess the car will have to sit in the yard under the hot sun till next year 2007...when my mum is 'more' available to go down to TC to settle the insurance and loan matters. -
I think everyone should not mind of adding extra weight . If adding or changing of stuff give u better ride just go ahead. If u really mind the weight can cause lack of power and high fuel comsumtion. I think u going to ask ur family and frens not take take a ride in ur car, becos each person will average will add on 55kg, if u fetch 4 person including driving is total 220kg!!! IS A LOT MORE WEIGHT! then changing to a bigger rims or SP.! ur car going to drinks man!! when u r taking ur family and frens for a ride!
If u really want to lighten the car to give u better power and fuel consumption i suggest u should take off all the seats, dashboard, side panel and spare tyres, everything only left with the driver seat. The will really give a perfect power and low comsumption!
Most important u have to enjoy ur ride, human's needs is always unable to fully satisfy. When u get use it, u will feel is not power enough , u want it better! Notting is perfect, lighter car give u lesser comfort,l ower price and heavier car give u better stability, comfort and higher price to pay for. Try to balance ur needs and wants. U going to have a better day ahead.!

Are there any "Do Nots" that I should take note of? Is this still considered a running-in period?

Be sure to check all round the car for any damage before leaving the service area. Sometimes, there are small scratches and dents when the service technicians are not careful. Some owners specifically ask that the car is not washed. Any scratches should be settled with Nissan right away. The other good practice for any car is to occasionally take it for a long highway drive. Malaysia is easier but you can still loop around Singapore. This runs the engine and burns off excess carbon deposits. Start-stop city driving is actually quite stressful for cars.
