My first tank got me 12.2km per liter.
you are referring to standard sound proofing or your SE got throw in extra stuff like bonnet insulation?Originally posted by Si Geena:Just got my bru bru March y'day. Having a whale of a time with it.
I'm very pleased with the sound proofing currently. Maybe I do not spend enough time on the highway yet, but I do not get alot of ambient noise, only when the motorcycle zooms past me.
Hi Libby, I sent u a PM . Feel free to sms me at 90902256Originally posted by libbytan:I have a brand new set of 14E rim/tyre just for you. I will need to exchange with your tyres/steel rim. How much do you wish to offer?

i'm getting quite disturbed with the ambient/ wind noise in mine. 70km onwards already quite loud and almost unbearable at 90km.

wow.... doing it yourself?Originally posted by libbytan:i bought one roll of RAAmat from local dealer. cost $260 for 62feet length. going to spend a few days to strip the car up, and paste the sound dampener by myself.
The price for soundproofing done by hifi workshop varies greatly.Originally posted by yojanjan:wow.... doing it yourself?

You will have to ask them yourself to understand and believe the pricing.
A basic two doors isolation will cost about ~$200-$400 (depends on the brand of the material and the number of layers applied.)
Of course if you intend to isolate the road noise coming from the floorboard/seats area and the spare tyre area, the cost would be about $1000-$1500 (again depends on the material quality/layer)
Some people may also want to isolate the wheel 'hump' areas, or maybe the roof and the dashboard area.
Everything counts to large amount!
When I realised the $$$$ factor...........I decided I am going to DIY it myself. My manhour-cost is low, so I can afford to DIY it myself.
Wah u power leh... is a big project

I have the same experience. My march has the same hissing sound when i start my engine. I do not pay attention to it as nobody has commented about it.Originally posted by Shooting_Cloud:I find the aircon sound very strange. When I first turn it on after starting the engine, there is a loud hissing sound as if the aircon is leaking! Anybody else experience this?![]()

Get your mat from this local delear site.
I feel this raammat is just as good as the other competitors(Dynamat, etc). The pricing is 50% cheaper as well.
You were also planning to spruce up your ICE and wheels. How's that going? You should check out bbryan's ICE. The entire boot is a powered subwoofer!Originally posted by libbytan:http://www.raamaudio.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi

IMHO, a lot of resell value hinged on balance COE and balance PARF which is calculated on per day basis, so it really shouldnt matter, but psycologically an early Dec car sounds better than late Nov car...Originally posted by nanomarch:Pls advice on whether is it better to take the car in the 1st week of the month? Cos my SE told me that I can collect @ end nov, and was told by my friend that it is better to collect in the beginning of the month (Can get better resell value next time when selling).
How much would they charge for the March?Originally posted by yojanjan:Had my 1st 1000km servicing done today at Jurong. When told of the loud wind/ ambient noise, they "adjusted" the doors for me, gonna test it out later.
saw www.silent.com.sg on ST classifieds, anybody any comments on effectiveness/ price/ service?
Bro, you should definitely take the car as soon as possible.Originally posted by nanomarch:Pls advice on whether is it better to take the car in the 1st week of the month?
