RWD or AWD will have a drive shaft below the chassis, because the front engine has to drive the rear wheels. This will be very expensive to repair as it needs to have precise alignment, unlike the exhaust piping which just needs to expel the exhaust gases so don't need to be exactly straight. A few bumps and dents, it will still work fine.Originally posted by NYC_MiCra:quote : Good thing is that since it's a FWD![]()

Would love to get it if I think I could DIY myself. Looks too complicated to me. I removed one of the wheel arch plastic covers and had a tough time pushing it back into place.Originally posted by libbytan:Hello everyone....anyone interested in 30ft of Raammat soundproof mat?
I bought a roll (62ft at S$290) from the local agent recently. But only manage to used up half of it.
Anyone want the remaining half at $140.
Well...my upgraded sound system is as good as it was on my father's Lexus(my own opinion lah...when the car is stationary. Guess sound insulation of March is not the best around. Inadequate...er... depends on what you are using the car for. It is ok for me 95% of the time, only during heavy downpours, when speaking to passengers need to raise the voice a bit.Originally posted by Nakamarchie:Dear All,
Do you guys find the noise insulation at the back of the car quite inadequate?
especially when raining days u can literally hear the water splashing on the wheel archs.
ya esp during heavy downpour can feel as though the rear windows is not closed properly.

Shiokmc showed his car at a previous meetup. Spare tyre keep at home. The sound is something else! Kick ass man.Originally posted by Nakamarchie:So what happens to your spare tyre, all remove is it.
Got a sub at the back, kind of bulky though.
Ya, are you sure? I'm lucky to get 11km/l. Do you measure by "each full tank fill up and how far you've travelled" method?Originally posted by yojanjan:am doing about 14.6km/l currently
Very impressive! You are going to remove the roof panel to do the sound proofing? Did you apprentice at some car mechanic outfit? Lexus is a very high standard to compare your March sound proofing with.Originally posted by libbytan:Well...my upgraded sound system is as good as it was on my father's Lexus(my own opinion lah...when the car is stationary. I have done soundproof on all the four doors...the other areas are still in progress, as and when I got the time.
My mum is shouting at me for messing up her car, she feels uneasy driving the car without the back seats and some parts dangling. HA HA HA.
The rain hitting on the roof and the sound is 'too loud' for my liking, will be doing up the roof over the next few weeks.
The tyre roar is 'extremely' loud, even my mum is complaining. And I think there is no way to isolate it completely, the design of the suspension arm and the way its attached to the chassis is transmitting the vibration into the cabin.
Yes its very time consuming to do all the dismentaling work and the hardest work is fitting the panels back securely and not damaging those plastic clips!
