The purpose a spoiler is to reduce air movement across the body during high speed motion. This can decrease drag coefficient and improve the stability of the vechicle in high speed. As of decreasing drag coefficient which could improve fuel efficiency at high speed. In addition this increase the aerodynamic drag with the square of speed. wouldnt adding a spoiler increase the drag coefficient? and thus making the gallardo consume more fuel.
