As long as the material is not transparent, it will obscure the driver's view, be it semi-transparent, translucent or opaque. Please go check up the meaning of the work obscure.Originally posted by Anti_AhSiah:There is no where in the LTA rules that stipulates the use of rear sunshades. Besides, it is not opaque and will not obscure your view being semi transparent. ROV officers are getting high handed given that they are paid on commission now.

Road safety is of utmost importance. We value everybody's life. And there is absolutely no way that we should allow the use of rear sunblinds while driving just because some people "think" that they can still drive safely with those things affecting their rear view.
Why are you talking about the sun shade when everyone else is referring to the sunblind? Are you so intellectually challenged that you cant differentiate between the two?Originally posted by Anti_AhSiah:Since u talk like a good two shoe, pray tell, why in the first place, was the sun shade installed as a stock item in Lexus and Camrys? How do u define OBSCURE? People like you THINK you cant see cause you got some myopia problems. Unless you can explain why LTA has approved it in the first place, your argument is flawed right from the beginning. Enough said. And dont teach me anything about value of life or everybody's life. If u do, go pick on every god damn van driver and ask them not to conceal their rear windscreen.
Nuff said.

Yes, these items are installed as stock items in some cars, but in case you did not read the TS's first post properly, the TP said the use of sunshade/sunblind is not allowed WHILE DRIVING. This boils down to the driver's responsiblity, not the manufacturer, dealer or LTA. You heard of the recent case of a boy knocked down by a lorry? Yeah, no rear view at all but he could've sent his delivery buddy or ask anyone to guide him while reversing from outside the vehicle... that's standard SAF procedure too. Maybe you haven't even noticed that the number of vans on the roads with their rear screens blocked almost entirely with opaque sunshades/blinds have dropped dramatically.Originally posted by Anti_AhSiah:Since u talk like a good two shoe, pray tell, why in the first place, was the sun shade installed as a stock item in Lexus and Camrys?
