Hey peeps! I planning to get a car fer myself... I intend to get an OPC since I won't be using often due to shift work... I've just passed my licence about 6 weeks ago...
I would like to know what are the requirements to get a loan fer the instalments to pay the car... Is there really a need fer a gurantor..?
Any informations are greatly appreciated... Thanks peeps!![]()

the decrease in petrol prices makes everyone think that getting a car is the most viable option now.

You want cheap car and you want a Proton? Forget it, get yourself a Kia or Hyundai. ![]()

Not enough. Standby for cost on insurance, maintenance, petrol, carpark, misc such as coupons, ERPs, etc. not much road tax since its OPC.
Dont buy it.
hold off buying will be my advice...

The basic requirement for loan approval is an income statement from your company you are working.
If you don't have income statement, you need a guarantor....The guarantor must have an income statement irregardless whether she/he has a licence or not.
If you are working and you can afford the instalments, then you don't need a guarantor.
Preferably take no more than 70% loan for no longer than 7 years.

Sorry... whether OPC or not...my advice is to reserve at least $1000 each month....
There's just too many components to take care of....The insurance itself will 'kill' you even though OPC's insurance is lower than normal car's insurance, simply because you are 22. ![]()
Assuming u r single and has no family commitments, hold on to your buying of cars till ur income is more than 2.5-3k, depending on ur spending habits irregardless of OPC or normal cars.

Haha you're not the only one. Don't mind share with us what's your first car? It can be a practical car, I mean, think big but start small, unless one is those super-entrepreuner, I think it's not wise to start aiming for a gallardo or murcielago as one's first car?

get car at 26 ah!!! ![]()
Just get a cheap and reliable 2nd hand car will do
first car honda jazz..wow...
A 2nd car will not save u any money..it oni shorten ur breakeven period or minmise ur loss when u change ur ride over the same period..ur money expenses remains the same..mabbe even higher due to the fact its a 2nd car and neds more maintenance..assuming the probability of it breaking odwn is higher.
