Aerodynamic reasons. ![]()
I'm not exactly an automotive engineer, but I'm sure that there's some good reason. Think about it, the Subaru Impreza NEVER had a hatchback variant before the current generation, but in 2008 they specially created the Impreza hatchback which entered mid season of the WRC in 2008.
Chevrolet Camaro damn cool..
If only can own 1 in singapore... Wonder how much to bring that car over..

Are you sure it's aerodynamic reasons? Cannot be cost cutting? ![]()
Maybe Subaru figured that if they chopped off the boot, they could have saved quite a bit from the reduced amount of steel used. Subaru even omitted the frameless windows design from their latest Impreza and Forester. A sad thing I must say. I always had a weird fetish for frameless windows, it looks so sexy. ![]()

Yes, the frameless windows were quite a plus point for the previous Impreza..
Overall, while I admit that the current generation Impreza has a much improved interior, the previous generation Impreza looked better..
Though the new forester looks quite nice!
