Sch
Pro - Fast, Reliable, they teach u everything from scratch, 1st TP test wait 2 weeks only, retest wait 3 weeks - 4 weeks.
Con - Expensive, maybe wont use the same car always unless u book ur slots in advance.
Private
Pro - Cheap, u use the same car everytime n c the same instructor everytime for a cheap price too.
Con - More prone to making mistakes in circuit during TP test, if fail, have to wait at least 4 mths for retest. my fren failed in november 2003, his next TP is on march 2004.
actually for BBDC, everything is computerised...
u wanna book ur practical lessons u can do it anywhere...
wanna cancel it oso can.. cancel anytime u want...
if u cancel ur lesson 48hrs in advance, they will refund the $$ to u immediately...
if u cancel ur lesson last min, they will place ur slot in a scheme called "Try Sell Slot"... other trainees can buy ur slots. when otehr trainees buy ur slots, ur $$ will be refunded.
so far whenever i last min cancel my slot, it's always refunded...
ahhaha... so no worries, cancel whenever u like!

sch is better...more reliable...i 20 lessons only tp liao...dun mind payin a bit more n save the time waitin for tp...coz u might forget a lot of things while waitin for private... -

i highly recommend sch if u can spare the $$
i took 17 practicals then gia TP test liaoz..

not really say school better lah.. it depends on individual... if u play sports and are the very alpha type and u have lots of time to spent (eg. NS) then go for private training... actually circuit training is dead one... the real demerit points comes from the actual road driving...

Last time in 92 it was 16 for bike as far as i know.Driving is 18.
Passed my 2B in 93,3 in 00 and 4 in 04.
Now,Take public transport and ocassionally hire a car or van.
No$$ to buy a car

This Topic is the lamest u can ever find ? Ever Since i was 14 ? keep hearing ppl saying that it's gonna change to 21 ? till now i got my 2 license still 18 ?

it's still at 18. period. unless bbdc forgot to ask me to come back 3 yrs later to take practical.
"always disturbed" and "tetsumi" u both took no more than 20 pracs, so good, i thought on average is 30+ lessons... did u pay the extra fees to train under the same instructor? hope i can do it in less than 20 too... -

I also not very sure...but my theory is... If class 3 license legal age is 18 ... then therefore the class 2 license legal age should be also 18. Since we haven heard of any storys about class 2. I therefore assume tt class 3 license legal age is still 18.
What u think guys?
