I maintain an extremely clean driving record for the past 20 years (beco I cannot afford a car)
Thanks to the PAP Government, the car price drop drastically. Now I can afford a "BIG NEW" car. This is my childhood dream. Now I am damn "RICH"
BTW if I don't remember wrongly. My highway code tell me, signal light is optional. However "HAND SINGLE" is a must. Head light "HIGH BEAM" is a must at night.
Please don't challenge my Driving license. Because I pass with Flying color. My clean driving record is a prove.
Last but not least, I am not "BAD" because I paid "A LOT OF MONEY" for my road tax. Hence I got the right to use the road the way I like.

I was studying in Australia for the past 1.5 yrs..... the cars there are cheap and the drivers are so polite.... i simply love tat place.... i wld migrate there if i have enuff points to get a PR. -

Go behind him, i'm signalling right (to tell him to bugger off to the left and give way), and he doesn't know what it is... probably thinks i left my signal light on...

I only have one MAJOR problem with the drivers. When the SKY is getting dark or its raining. I find alot of drivers not willing to switch on the HEADLIGHTS. THEY THINK LIKE THAT CAN SAVE BATTERY ISSIT? GOONDU!

Ok, let me put it this way; it isn't just MANNERS lacking. One word sums up the common attitude I come across on our roads daily - SELFISH.
Forget MANNERS here. Forget even Road Courtesy - you can really forget this one.
Driving around here, you need to expect others NOT giving way. If you signal to turn out from a minor road which has a yellow box in your favor, don't be complacent, NO ONE, will let you out. When you signal to switch lane, you can bet your last Singapore dollar, the traffic behind you will speed up to pass you first, and likewise the car behind, and next, and next.. in the end you will have to just swerve right out, making yourself, inconsiderate as well.
Signalling is something every singapore drivers FORGETS, once in possesion of a driver's license or just passed the driving test.
When someone cuts into your lane rudely, you're not supposed to horn, or you'd be given the finger. If you give someone a finger, you'd likely be challenged to a fist fight by the roadside.
Overtake someone in a flashy car or branded car on the expressway, he or she will likely overtake you in return.
When you are waiting for a lot in a carpark, expect others will ignorantly slide into the lot you were patiently waiting for - particularly lady drivers who convenient dive into a lot head first, ignoring anyone waiting to park.
The list goes on. Some just park their bloody car diagonally across two lots, pratically occupying two space! Then there are motorbikes who park right in the center of a car's lot.
Motorists in Singapore, are a SELFISH lot. Summarily Self-centered, ego maniacs. Out of 10 motorists on the road, only 1, will be considerate. This fact is disgraceful of a society and country that is number one in many things, and highly educated. But largely, people are full of s-h-i-t. -
4. drivers who speed up suddenly when they see you signaling to filter to the next lane. duh!
Yar lor want to overtake that driver die die don't let you lame man !!!

at YCK/AMK ave 3 flyover, a lady driver ask me if turn right can lead to Bishan.. I said yes... guess what... she follow my car and ask me again how to go Bishan exactly... ~~~Faint
I just cant understand how ppl simply say "I cant read the streetdirectory.. too blur..".. f**king lazy ppl...
I spend 1/2 hours teaching my frenz how to read streetdirectory when she tell me she dunno how to use and kind of confused... "its quite easy" when 1/2 hour...
To those lazy driving idiots, please learn how to read streetdirectory and plan the travel path before u start the engine...U will be the cause of accidents when u wan to turn last minute...
I just encountered a driver tried to turn left on a turn-right lane today... -
A lady in a Lexus RX swerved out from a side road into my lane today, causing me to slam the brakes. She not only misjudged my distance and speed and expected me to brake for her, she mounted the curb with 2 wheels in her attempt to swerve out. Another car swerves out of the way to evade her.
A gentleman in a Hyundai Sonata swerves left from a straight-ahead-only lane into the inner left turning lane, causing a taxi in the innermost lane to slam on the brakes. Another taxi behind that taxi hits its rear. Gentleman speeds on.
There're lots of drivers out there who aren't just discourteous, they're a serious danger to other drivers. But i suppose if those here in this forum, being aware of this, can make an effort not to do what we criticise others for, maybe we'll have a better time driving.
Oh and hazard lights on in the rain are a no-no, distracting when you cant tell which side the car ahead is signalling. If he's even bothering to signal. -

haha. It true that singaporean drivers are ill-mannered to some extent. but what strikes mi that change my view is when i was was HK few weeks ago, the taxis and drivers are are very fierce and the way they horn....( You feel like bashing that guy up) is horrible, and some take dangerous turns even in narrow streets...... very dangerous....
