High fuel consumption!!!

Are u sure, I think 3500rpm is a bit too high, Last time, I always ram my car till 3000++ to shift gear and my tank reach the E point within 300Km... Now I always change gear at around 2500 to 3000 and I mange to get 360Km... I really not very sure how to cal how many Km/L but I test it out quite a few times liao....Mine is a 98'SIR.....Got wife and kid now so seldom ram now...

Well, actually I never owned a Honda before but that came from my buddy. So now is 2 against 1 on 3,500 gearshift is better than 2,500.I should give it a try.Actually juz now on my way hm i did try already after pumping petrol.Hope it does help.Is 3,500 gearshift for every gear or only for lower gearshift or vice-versa?

Anybody had tried before driving a 16 inch rims and 15 inch rims and compare the mileage?Is difference alot or only a bit?

If you get good lightweight 16 inch rims (I like Enkei) the rotational mass would not be that much different from the 15 inch stock rims....but problem is good light 16 inchrims cost alot of $$$. Of course if u can get a good second hand set, all the better
The $$$ saved can go towards performance rubbers for your car. -

Will installing VAFC improve the fuel economy by adjusting the air/fuel ratio?

his is the X-Trail 2.5l. I've driven his car. I doesn't feel underpowered, and the response when u step hard on the accel is like any auto car's. The problem, i think is not about revving too high. The engine settings have been changed many times by his father before, so much so that to pinpoint the exact problem is difficult at best.Originally posted by D16Z6:So wat car do ya drive??

If use tiptronic to shift down the gear (auto car), before step in acceleration, will it be more fuel economical? Comparing with step acceleration hard and force gear box to shiftdown, I think active gear shift will help to save that part of the petrol before the gear start to shift.
Am I right?
