It's my generation (harking back when the PC was born and games had no graphics and were wholly text-based, this was before the internet even existed, something unthinkable these days) who will truly appreciate the progress made. Youngsters these days are spoilt from the start.

As the following review by Moze Halperin illustrates, the critical acclaimed TV series "The Leftovers", makes an excellent subject or case for a study on literature, film, theatre, sociology, psychology, theology, comparative religion, philosophy and/or spirituality. Or in the local Singapore context in Junior College, Knowledge & Inquiry and/or Theory of Knowledge.
Before reading Moze Halperin's review below, in case Singaporeans are unfamiliar with "The Leftovers" (because Mediacorp never screened it on TV), lemme just say that in a nutshell, the TV series begins with a clearly supernatural event, one that is portrayed as unexplainable by *both* science *and* religion, and deliberately sways back and forth between atheism and religiosity (as experienced from the perspective of the various characters struggling emotionally, psychologically and religiously in attempting to come to terms with the unexplainable event), refusing to commit to *either* as the correct truth. A senior Israeli military official said Israeli intelligence believes Syrian military commanders ordered the attack, with Assad's knowledge. Briefing reporters, he said Israel estimates Assad still has "between one and three tons" of chemical weapons. The assessment was confirmed by two other Israeli defense officials. All the officials spoke on condition of anonymity under military briefing rules.
