THE LAST JC IN SINGAPORE
We all knew it was going to happen one day.
The birth rate of Singapore kept skydiving, until finally, it just became economically irresponsible to keep more than one Junior College open.
2070 marked the very last year where Singapore had more than one JC. After a final round of JC mergers, the Ministry of Education announced that all qualified students would earn a spot in the last JC in Singapore.
The six Ministers of Education conferred with a carefully-selected group of the country's best minds, in a private, closed-room symposium. They decided on a new name, one which would both pay tribute to Singapore's world-class airports, as well as commemorate this last JC's final status.
And so, in 2071, all qualified students begin their first year in Terminal Junior College.

No, he did all those rituals because he actually believed they would work, ie. his personal traditional belief system. The government got to him and not only forced him to apologize, but used this opportunity to frame a political target for his actions, exactly who or which group to frame, they haven't decided yet and are leaving this as a potential wild card for future political use as and when necessary.
KUALA LUMPUR: Ibrahim Mat Zin, better known as ‘Raja Bomoh Sedunia’ today admitted that he was guilty of performing bizarre rituals which were un-Islamic in nature, and pledged to repent.
Zin said his strange rituals were done under the instructions of another person, whose identity he chose not to disclose.
"I deeply regret the rituals I performed. I was just following instructions from someone who advised me that this was the right thing to do,� said Zin after his conditional release by the Syariah High Court today.
“I would like to apologise to all Muslims and non-Muslims in Malaysia because I have offended the nation without realising the consequences and had put my trust blindly in this person, who told me to create this drama with the rituals.�

A ruling Chinese Communist Party newspaper is warning North Korea against conducting another nuclear test, saying that would likely propel events past the "point of no return."
In an editorial Tuesday, the Global Times says the previous day's phone conversation between Presidents Donald Trump and Xi Jinping of China showed the two countries were in close communication over the tensions.
It says China hopes for a peaceful outcome, but that Beijing has "very limited influence on the entire situation."
It says: "The game of chicken between Washington and Pyongyang has come to a breaking point."
It says if North Korea carries out a sixth nuclear test as expected, "it is more likely than ever that the situation will cross the point of no return. All stakeholders will bear the consequences, with Pyongyang sure to suffer the greatest losses."

A group of people are lured into coming to an island under different pretexts, e.g., offers of employment, to enjoy a late summer holiday, or to meet old friends. All have been complicit in the deaths of other human beings, but either escaped justice or committed an act that was not subject to legal sanction. The guests and two servants who are present are "charged" with their respective "crimes" by a gramophone recording after dinner the first night, and informed that they have been brought to the island to pay for their actions. They are the only people on the island, and cannot escape due to the distance from the mainland and the inclement weather, and gradually all ten are killed in turn, each in a manner that seems to parallel the deaths in the nursery rhyme. Nobody else seems to be left alive on the island by the time of the apparent last death. A confession, in the form of a postscript to the novel, unveils how the killings took place and who was responsible.
