  after scoring a goal, they play defensive, argentina coach fault, they shld have continued the pressure and go for more goals to boost morale. Only after conceding a goal they go back on offensive to try take lead again, by then too late.
  
  argentina coach make very poor subs, again all his fault, except the goalkeeper one.
  
  penalty shootout at argentina goal, there all german supporters, argentina players lose confidence and morale. this one nobody fault, maybe FIFA. This small act also does affect players, but nothing can be done i guess. but considering Germany already got home advantage, still take PSO at Argentina goal which is definitely completely surrounded by red shirts abit unfair.
  
  argentina players generally weaker at penalty, this is the teams fault, nothing else to say.
  
  klinssman the german coach made good subs and chose correct ppl to take PSO.

  But I think he took a really big risk by making Ballack take a shot. He was badly injured and couldn't run properly.

  Hasn't anyone advised Pekerman not to play the Germans at their own game? It's fairly obvious the thought the Germans could equalise never crossed his mind given some of the decisions he took(like putting Julio Cruz on) - realistically, they never had a chance once the Germans equalised as the team that was out on the pitch was hardly equipped to play attacking football.
  
  Maybe, he was naive enough to believe he could end Germany's 30-year run of not having lost a penalty shootout in a major tournament...

  Argentina on the whole played more eye pleasing and beautiful soccer and germany managed to get away with many of their fouls also, although one of the argentine defenders was very rough, the one marking ballack.
  
  anyway was without doubt the best game of the wc so far, reminds me of the old wc days.
  
  first time i watched argentina played live though, missed all their other games. they were much better than i thought and like their style of play.
  
  i expect finals will be deja vu brazil vs germany, but had hoped can see argentina face brazil in finals, will also be very interesting and fun to watch game.
