Has to be simon road. If I want to eat hokkien mee, still die die go there.
Where the hell issit you ask? Kovan mrt, exit to simon road, the first fried hokkien mee stall in the old old old kopitiam. Uncle don't work on sundays and mondays, take note. If his son is doing the cooking, not as good. -
my favourite stall at bukit merah closed down liao.
the elderly couple running the stall said that they are retiring, don't want to work anymore. -
im not a fan.......but the one at whampoa is pretty good IMO
there's one at chomp chomp tts good too......always long Q -
i like the one at newton food center. the one run by the old couple, not the other fanchise stalls only $3 and a lot

tink the one at bedok central (bedok bus interchange) is pretty good,near the toilet. lol..the hawker centre is very crowded during lunch time though

True, I've been to some of the listed ones here... Chomp Chomp, Simon Road (another speciality in that coffeeshop is the oyster egg), Whampoa (the mee goreng there is nice too)....

There's also 1 across the road @ the hawker centre outside Heartland Mall quite good also.
But my fav is @ Changi Airport T1 staff canteen. CHEAP & GOOD! $2 for staff, $2.50 for public. Yummy~

Ponggol blk 198 is near my house
and the hokkien mee is so nice. -
Last time when I was studying in NUS, there was this Hokkien Mee seller in the Arts canteen who has some mental problem, seems someone don't like her & burn her store...then it somehow made her abit kee seow.
When she see guys coming to order at her store, she will say "Hokkien Mee, you want me?"
I think her business became poor because she freak people off -

me prefer those slightly more "watery" than those that are extremely dry. -
the one at toa payoh lor 1 hawker centre near blk 124 is good, but it is a matter of taste and cooking the mee just right n plenty of lard
