Somehow i got a feeling their curry puff skin getting thicker and thicker. Or am I imagining things?
I like the Tip-top curry puffs in Ang Mo Kio. Price also increased sharply. I remember having them at 60 cts each when i was a student.
I see all the glistering deep fried stuff on display at Old Chang Kee counters, i think of the oil getting transferred to my already oily face.

When I was a kid, the main draw of eating tip top curry puffs were just for that slice of egg in it.

old chang kee's standard has dropped to crap.. it's pretty sad as i remembered last time, my father used to bring me for supper and we would eat at this s-11 coffeeshop and have the wonderful curry puff and chicken from one of the nearby stalls called chick delight.. the curry puff now is more like a biscuit.. there is almost NO chicken.. and i can only taste potatoes.. the pastry is so thick.. i would prefer selera.. A1.. or even polar anytime over OCK now.. their fried squid is not bad.. it depends on the timing.. if they just finished frying.. then =)..
