Go to provision shops and take a lookOriginally posted by Gazelle:Milkmaid and Teapot are the 2 brands that Nestle use for their SCM.
Carnation is use by Nestle for EVAP Milk in Singapore (both low fats and fullcream and maybe other creamer).
In Malaysia they do have Ideal brand for EVAP.

SCM or Sweetener are the same lah. The only different is the level of sugar and the milk powder content.Originally posted by sbst275:Go to provision shops and take a look
NTUC does not bring in all Nestle sweetener or Evaporated milk series
Teapot is a sweetener, anything that is "Sweetened Beverage Creamer" is sweetener, only "Sweetened Condended Milk" then it is condensed milk... Read the label carefully
Prices diff a lot!Originally posted by Gazelle:SCM or Sweetener are the same lah. The only different is the level of sugar and the milk powder content.
they are targeting at different market. Milkmaid is the most premium brand of all SCM. Teapot is a brand use to counter cheaper SCM brands like Lady General from MDI. If Nestle would to introduce TeaPot as SCM and not differentiate itself from Milkmaid, I am sure alot of Milkmaid supporter will migrate to TP isnt it?Originally posted by sbst275:Prices diff a lot!
If they are the same, why Milkmaid have 2 types?
Again, Milkmaid has 2 types... 1 is SCM the other being SBC... Price diff is 20c, yet ppl still buy the SCM instead of Milkmaid SBC (The one will cup pic)Originally posted by Gazelle:they are targeting at different market. This is just like Knife Brand and Ship Brand edible oil. Both from Lam Soon, but there is a huge price gap.
Sailing boat and duck brand are not 2nd grade oil. The reason for the premium price is in the brand itself. Nothing to do with extra cost or superior quality.Originally posted by sbst275:Again, Milkmaid has 2 types... 1 is SCM the other being SBC... Knife and Sailing Boat is 2 diff oil... Knife is blended while Sailing Boat is 2nd grade oil like Duck also from Lam Soon
Knife is with sesame oil and peanut oil... Duck and Sailing Boat are purely palm oilOriginally posted by Gazelle:Sailing boat and duck brand are not 2nd grade oil. The reason for the premium price is in the brand itself. Nothing to do with extra cost or superior quality.
btw, what is SBC?
If you compare Knife brand to King Rooster from Sime Darby, you will know what I meant by being a premium brand.Originally posted by sbst275:Knife is with sesame oil and peanut oil... Duck and Sailing Boat are purely palm oil
SBC is sweetener... Nestle invoices calls condensed milk SCM, sweetener SBC
Knife and King Rooster is the same kind mahOriginally posted by Gazelle:If you compare Knife brand to King Rooster from Sime Darby, you will know what I meant by being a premium brand.
Sweetener is basically cheaper SCM.
