breadtalk has those fancy fancy breads i like. but i my dad used to buy the really fresh loaf of bread around whampoa there every morning... dunno the shop still ard or not...
its a simple shop maciam the 60's like tat the interior...and they only bake bread....

another shop i go to often is at serangoon gardens kopitiam (near to Shell petrol kiosk)...they sell bread that they self-made. nice....

I may be wrong but i think breadtalk tends to shortchange the bread with miserly fillings.
Crystal Jade Confectionary is much better.
And some of the neighbourhood ones in AMK are pretty good value for money. -

Breadtalk's rental is high mah... u got to admit that they are the trail-blazer in bread design...many bakeries now copy the same pattern of bread as Breadtalk.
Disclaimer: I seldom buy from Breadtalk, coz got no $$. -

Agree. But that's where quality must stand out, so the copycats can only go so far.
