She got the franchise from Singapore and went to Taiwan to set up sounds more probable. Well, did she get the franchise or not i am not sure but maybe she did... who knows... All i know is this Lady should be quite old by now, i am told that 20yrs ago during the 80's she was already selling. I am not aware if she has ever expand her business, i only know one at 6th Ave, Bukit Timah area only... Since i never buy from her in person other relatives bought... Lana Cake has only one outlet which is located near Watten Park in Bukit Timah. Owner of that shop is Violet Oon. What do you mean use the same distinctive name of a company? was she using the same name, is the one in sin the same name?

Awfully Chocolate is another cake shop which was started by an ex-lawyer (from Rajah and Tann) and they have an outlet along Joo Chiat Road.
As for this Stella Ng, she could either have obtained a franchise from Awfully Chocolate or she is trying to pass off Awfully Chocolate as her own in Taiwan. -
I am rather confuse, maybe someone can clear this up... Is the Lana at Bukit timah, 6th ave area related to the Awfully chocolate cake shops?

Violet Oon owns LANA? The chef? If so, I met her a few times at her Lion City restaurant in Canada. Had no idea she owned LANA.

Maybe the shop has moved? I have no idea what cake shop there is in 6th Ave. The Lana cake that I have been patronising is in Greenwood Avenue. -

Lana cake shop is still at greenwood avenue,i.e along bukit timah further in from rgps/njc..doubt it'll ever move..plus she never give out her recipe even though she's so old already.. she make everything then put into the industrial oven one..
There's also an awfully chocolate near serene centre. the shop houses there closer to bontanic gardens..near the cold storage that just opened there. -
