There are alot of wild boar in pulau tekong, wild boar tends to have less fats compare to domestic pig, abit salty.Originally posted by newcomer:do u know there are wild boars in singapore?
anways, i don't know if singapore still got sell but it's illegal since it's feral meat. in malaysia, u can find them in many chinese cuisine restaurants. the texture is more or less the same, though i heard baby boars are far tender as compared to adults. the texture depends on the age and sex of the boar, reallly. the older the tougher. male meat tends to be tougher. as for the taste, there is a slight musky taste to it and the fats smell is much stronger. if cooked with heavy seasoning, it's hard to tell the diff between wild and domestic pigs.
