  go dim sum place and order 'boh zai fan' (claypot rice?)

  Are u sure got "lap ngap"? I visit Hong Kong Dim Sum restaurant very oftern, dun have leh.

  in hongkong i eat before
  but usually i get my preserved stuffs from canada
  have not tried them in singapore before...
  but should have...cos my mom's friend bought before...
  how come singapore cannot import????
  boh zai fan no lap ngap not nice to eat

  me went to buy le leh.
  
  aunty collik oso taught me same ting. steam in rice cooker or stir fry eben more pang.
  
  whole duck $30. drumstik $6. siao one den buy the drum.
  
  buy stil got head one. c liao hairs stand.
  
  sumore frm the look of it, the duck din die beri much a peaceful death.

  1) Put the duck on the bigger plate, pour hot water, to clean the dust, remove some hair if u want, release some oil (this procedure take less than 5 mins, remember dun dip into water too long)
  
  2) Throw away the water.
  
  3) Dun chop the duck yet, steam 10-15 mins than cut into small piece, can eat liao.
  
  Must eat with white rice, otherwise u will feel very salty.
  Some ppl eat with orange sauce, but I never try.
  
  p/s: Dun throw the skin, the most tasty part is the skin itself.
  
  I just went to NTUC just now, there are selling a kind of "alcohol preserved duck", the look very similiar to "wax duck", but the taste is not, dun buy wrongly, it's "wax duck" not "alcohol preserved duck".

  We never eat these things at home...we still get the ocassional lup cheong (which I don't eat) from the char kueh tiao, but NEVER stuff like waxed duck or dried oysters.
