Food republic is beginning to relate quality food with higher prices. Unfortunately, after the initial euphoria that accompanied their Wisma outlet, their subsequent VIVO and Suntec branches churned out less than satisfied reviews.
Of the food court chains, they are currently the priciest, with half a chicken at 'Sergeant Chicken Rice' going for $14/-, compared to the average $10/- at a standard hawker stall and $12/- at a branded chicken rice restaurant. Furthermore, their supposed 'boneless' chicken still leaves some leftovers you have to personally remove. Not at all satisfying, given that the chicken is quite ordinary (but still better than Loy Kee best).
Maybe the 'General' should stop by and give them a good hidding. -
went last sunday coz went for the aquarium show n book fair. passed by that foodcourt n i wanted to take a book out but its only a wallpaper n i kenna pwned n some people laughed at me

My dinner - Premium cheese burger with fries + soup (La Vela) - 9.50
Worth it. Nice meat. Though I gotta warn u. Those ppl handle your food with their bare hands T.T

Food Republic has been the ONLY food court that's trying to inject better decor (jeez, even more impressive than some 'restaurants' and 'cafes')!
Pity the cost is passed on as higher prices. But if the food is good, I don't mind. -

the things there not nice one and the price is overkill
5 bucks for a plate of hokkien mee which is not beri the nice.
My fren ate a plate of chicken lice ($5) den eat half way got a worm crawl out. Not bad jia liao4 no need add $$.
