what is the best bread now?

  The donut is so yesterday taste. Bread talk boutique bread is also considered old and no longer in fashion to be seen eating.
  
  Anyone knows what is the latest food craze or upcoming craze?
  
  I wish to set up a small food business. I want to be my own boss.
  I have saved up $50k and willing to use it to start a business.
  Anyone with business concept? Maybe can discuss further and we can be business partner?

  Try "boutique bao" it's the craze in Taiwan, where they make various types of novelty baos the way they do with donuts.
  
  Could prove to be a good sale since it's not really hit SG yet. Strike the iron while it's hot!!

  Actually dunno if it can work anot. I once saw a programme showing in some foreign country they have a restaurant which customers dine on a bed.
  
  Don't think Singapore has such a thing yet but see if anyone bold enough to bring it in. Its like in the morning it can be like a breakfast in bed and at night can be catered for couple looking for some more intimacy or something like that. Something different from going to a candlelight dinner for people going out on a date.
  
  Just a thought lah. But of course, the food must be good and if you can't cook well, then better not lah.

  Eating on a bed? I thought there in Singapore already a pub who allows its patrons to sleep on their bed and eat and drink.
  
  I see the coffee bread in IMM is still surviving when there are not much buyers.
  I see those bubbles tea shop in HDB malls are surviving as well.
  
  The chee-kway, peanut-cake(mee-jiang-kway), bread shops, etc..all are sustainable business to be it.
  
  This are the type of self-sustaining business that I am look for. Something that will last even if the fad is gone. Something that is human basic needs.
  
  Anyone with good food skills and looking for a $$ investors, I am willing to discuss further on the business partnership.
  I know young people like us have a lot of good ideas and concept that will work. So PM me if you are interested to make your entraprenaur dream come true!

  advise you not to open a bread shop/ bakery if you want earn big bucks.

  I have this idea a while ago, just that I found out Subway fulfills quite a bit of it. Maybe you can implement it successfully; I do not need any share of it.
  
  My idea is something of a fast food chain, but providing healthier styles of food. Every single meal is to be planned by a nutritionist, to cater for different styles of people: old folks, children, working people, athletes. It would be good to have a nutritional value of each food sold to be displayed for people to have a choice. However, taste should not be compromised.
  
  Example: Burgers can be made healthier => there are many healthy recipes around for it. Scraped fries, add brown rice, or u can create another form of healthier carbo.
  
  Your slogan could be: Fast food unhealthy? Think again!

  F&B provides low barrier to enter.
  with 50k, i don't really think it's too sufficient.
  
  depending on the location, the rent will sliced you into half or quarters; like how azumi sliced her enemy.
  
  unless you have some old old old bird in this line to help you, else it's gonna be very tough for startup.
  
  sg are skilled copy-cat. even if you create a craze, it won't be long before someone / some company copied your idea, made a few modification and launch as their own. thus, ur profit margin would be sliced up before you even know it.
  
  ppl are tempremental also. no matter how creative your food are, they get bored/sick of it easily.
  
  it's impossible to get a food "copyrighted", so not much protection.
  
  as such, do plan how you can create a unique businesswith a moderately high barrier to enter factor.
  and ya, any ideas that are shared through in this thread most likely won't work also. (my humble person opinion though)
  
  to save on all the uncertainies, "fan chou"(franchise) could be a best move.. but again, 50K (mostly) cannot even buy the signboard..
  
  else,
  go overseas to study the f&b trend. sg are not that creative, as we are taught to follow not create, a soon to be in-thing at taiwan/hk will hit us.
  but like i mentioned previously, craze are craze, profit won't last long.. to last, you have got to bait and "create" and most impt, a system to maintain consistency.
  cannot be same food, today taste like cake, tml taste like da bian..
