  This is for the benefit of those who love ah balling, tang yuan. I was at the temporary hawker centre in outram yesterday, I saw the Hai Xing ah balling store, the man prepared the tang yuan without wearing gloves. This is definitely unhygenic and I was very surprised to see that. Thought MOH does not allow hawkers to do so, correct me if I am wrong. Before he prepared the tang yuan not sure what did he do with his hands.

  Any way, I changed my mind to eat the ah balling after I saw him prepare it without gloves. Someone at the same table ate it and the size of it is smaller than the one at Beach Road. So far, the popular ah balling stall at Beach road hawker centre is still my favourite, cheap, fresh and nice. Yummi.
  
  I gave up on those refrigerated tang yuan. After cooking it, it always taste sour. Moreover it is not fresh.

  my mum always made the plain ones every year...i help to roll into balls. but i never eat this kind of plain tangyuan.
