Especially after SARS.
I went to Guangzhou few years back and they told us this dish is rarely found in Guangzhou now cos of SARS.
8 dishes I think. One of them includes the monkey brain. You get to watch a live show of the chef killing a live monkey and then suck its brain out while the monkey is alive in its cage and the cook cooks it and you eat the monkey brain.
Another dish is the civet cat i tink and a few other weird dishes like dog meat, rabbit meat.
I dun tink Singapore has this food. Even if it has, most likely mock vegetarian food and its expensive cos of the name. Abalone and shark's fins at a restaurant would be better?
