But, if u wan GOOD and NICE tangyuan, then head down to Mr Bean and try their Tang Yuan.. its rly nice.. sure wun regret.. $2.20 for 4 tang yuans! Its a GREAT GREAT deal!!
Btw, i like the traiditonal hand-made ones too.. i used to help my mum roll the balls.. and after that cook already ... although kesong but it tastes nice.. put abt half spoon of BING TANG and it will taste fine already..
Talking abt BING TANG, makes me think of BING TANG YAN WO!!

Teochew tang yuan call ya mu ling best .
Especially hand made.
The filling is tender, not like the one sold in supermarket... so waterly...
the uncle have sold the ya mu lin for many year ...
he use to sold them on the street 50 year ago with his father the skill been past down him ... now he operate at chinatown harwker centre.
I miss that now.... he not sell late... 6pm close sunday closed too.....
Must go eat on day ...there have 5 to 6 filling to choose...

I had the weirdiest (at least very uncommon) of tong yuen for dessert last nite. Black sesame tong yuen in cendol/sago/coconut milk.

yes, i heard that was long ago. thus it is also known as Chinese Valentines' Day. IN ancient china, yuan xiao is the only day in the year that the ladies were allowed to go out to see see look look and they cease opportunity to look out for their Prince Charming. -
