Wonder if it taste like the old Yick Sang at Ann Siang Hill back in the 70s. And the almond double boiled soy milk, heavens.
I have no idea how Yick Sang wanton mee taste like, i have not heard about it.

Yick Sang was the most famous and popular wanton noodle since post war from a stall in Trengganu Street to the shop in South Bridge Road that was burnt down in 1970 and later relocted to Ann Siang Hill. The old lady passed away and the business closed in the early 80s.

The wanton mee at Crawford Food Centre is yummy. Opens in the evening. Handmade egg noodles and the wantons taste the best among the local wanton mee stalls I have ever tasted.
From $3, small portion (mee also comes with a few shreds of chicken).
What is the stall name? Is it opened by an old aunty at the corner??
they open around 9 in the morning and closes around 2. If have a chance order a side dish of the chicken legs. Its very nice as well.

I heard it is open around 6 pm. But let me tell you, all these years we patronize this stall, we notice they are not well organised. Though stall is open they are not ready yet, take their time to prepare ingredients. So be prepared to wait. Longest wait so far for me is 45 mins.
ehh from what i know crawford food centre almost of the stalls never open so late.. the stalls there are doing morning and afternoon business.
Originally posted by intenze:" Da Jie" waton mee, at the head of Sam Leong road off Jalan besar. Comes with 2 fried wanton and 2 in soup + veg + char siew. standard plate is $2.
its way nicer than the one at parklane and Lavendar, and also the one at Far East plaza/cuppage
I tried be4.. not up to my expectation but the chicken legs not bad..

I think Hong Kong wanton mee is totally different from local, so I usually will compare local to local wanton mee. Don't know if you have tasted Wong Kan Seng's late mum wanton mee. My relative told me taste good, traditional type.

The old auntie no longer help in the stall. I think you are talking about a different stall. This stall only open from the evening. The stall's name is "Ke Kou". The man is cooking and the other 2 women are helping to deliver and take order.

moved to lorong 2 geylang food square
then sim lim square level 2
now gone
very good noodle, cha siew is roasted kind, not colouring kind
another one now
cook is a young female
whole hawker centre i think only this stall is well know
even got rest day closed not doing business one
prepare their green chill
very out of way, 2 sbstransit serving this hawker centre
I think the defining feature of wanton mee should just be the mee.![]()
Hence, fei fei has the best noodles, but the worst char siew, and only decent wantons.![]()
Kovan one has the best wantons, decent noodles, and so so char siew.![]()

The mee from fei fei is not tasty. If you go for the mee, try the one I recommended at Crawford Food Centre. It is real sedap, handmade egg noodle.
