The best yong tau fu for me ever was eating at the food lane behind Selegie complex by a hawker name Ah Boon. This eating place left this planet in the early 80s and so did Ah Boon.Any good recommendations?
To me it gotta be the one at People's Park by the hakka brothers. This stall has been around for many years. I give this a full mark. Always long queue.

This stall only opens for a few hours. I was early a few times and gotta wait for them to be open for business past 12 pm. By 3 pm of past 3 pm, already stop selling.
The soup is great, not thirsty after eating. Take note that they only serve yong tau fu without beehoon, rice or whatever. The red sauce is normal. I go for the soup and ingredients. Best, sedap!

Yes, I think I have tried it because I remember asking the lady why no beehoon and the one at Tiong Bahru market also does not serve with noodles.....if I am not mistaken.

The one at People's Park is nice. I do know the Ampang Yong Tau Fu near Springleaf Garden is not a bad replica of the origin in KL. Haven't eat yong tau fu for a long time.

Yesh, the Ampang Yong Tau Fu is also nice. so far I only tried the one at the food court at Orchard emerald which now the food court is gone. It is expensive.
But my all time fav is still the one at People's Park. Lao zi hao! Eat this from a kid till now.

this is also not bad but standard drops, unfortunately. Mee now tastes more like flour.
The best thing about the lao zi hao yong tau fu at People's Park is that their taste is consistent throughout the years, standard does not drop like other food stalls.

I believe I just saw a Hakka Ampang Yong Tau Fu which the driver told us was rather very nice... Problem is I dunno when is the place, I only know it was on the way when we went to toa payoh from mandai...
I personally prefer Tampines Food Market's Hakka yong tau fu... Though it's usually sold out by 12.30pm... -_____- Good stuff sells extremely fast... As the food are handmade and prepared, it's not possible for them to increase the production... A pity I guess...

Talking about yong tau foo. in general, think the yong tau fu in malaysia tastes better than sg.
