no i dont know, you retard... you never say how we know?
keep ur disputes to the bus forum.
Lolx boon lay mrt there also 1.80 if i can remember
okok guys is the one located beside valuemax...
as for the taste... is quite nice .. the rice is tender though...
I tried the boon lay one a few weeks ago.
The taste is ok only, I rather spend $0.70 more to eat the normal one.
Aslo, the way they prepare the food seems unhygienic
what's the point if cheap but taste like shit?
i recall during NS times...there used to mobile van caterer....selling at $1...chicken and fried rice.....we all damn hungry....so its taste is subject to urban food deprivation...
for urban dwellers...(unless cost is more important) ...most sure grumble...
I ate the one at Tampines before, the rice they just put soy sauce over it. The chicken portion they give is...... About 3/4 the normal slice and about 4-6 slices of chicken. $1.80 only... Pathetic man... But as long its cheap, you would see someone queuing
There is this food court at JP on the 2nd floor, of the new extension that sells chicken curry noodle, by the stall name hong lim chicken curry noodle (of course I know its not genuine!). What I am surprised is this. The large bowl goes for $5.60, the strange thing is I asked specifically for chicken drumstick, expecting to pay something higher, but hey its $5.60!
Really, they gave me a whole drumstick. I had it twice the same week, I confirm its not an anomaly. An auntie queue behind me asked for the same, and guess what she paid? $5.60!![]()
a shop in Boon Lay MRT sell it at $1.50...
but then, think of it la.. $1.80 looks cheap. But the amount?
I patronise the tampines one before. Look at the bowl used to scoop the rice. /its shallower than your typical rice bowl. No need to say about the chicken.. 5 pitiful slices.
honestly, go another place $2.50 will give you better value

Ya iirc is at one of the coffee shop at Tampines Ave3/St 81 there... there is also one at Food Park which cost $1.80
anyway i also remember watching a Channel U show tat one Clementi Hawker Centre used to sell chicken rice for only $1. not sure if it still there or price increase (obiously...)
cheap small portions of delicious chicken rice are the best. i like the one near the POSB ATMs there.
i will go Mr Teh Tarik at Tampines Blk 500+ there and get my chicken drumstick rice for $3.
normal chicken rice $2.50.
the $1.80 ones... i only eat once in 2months.
How come chicken rice becomes so cheap now? Mine 3 dollars one.
chicken rice so cheap nice a not? if not i rather pay a bit more to have nice chicken rice. 2.50 can buy a decent plate already.
$1.80 is for the portion of 2/3 of a chicken rice...
Buying 1.5 packets of the $1.80 just like the normal portion you buy outside.
For cheap, filling and satisfying chicken rice, I recommend the one beside Simei MRT, Block 248. (The coffee shop nearer to the the centre of the block) Selling at $2.30, free soup for dine-in.
Few years back they were still selling at $2. First ate there in 1999. The queue there is still long during lunch. Recommended! :P
If you are looking for cheapest, there's one at Tampines St 81 coffee shop, selling at $1.30, small serving, and doesn't taste fantastic. Not recommended.
