Overated Singapore Food

Since this forum is about food, which singapore specailty is something you think is overated, i personally think bak chor mee is a very overated food in singapore, it's really oily n e minced meat n e noodles is so so.. i agree everyone have their own preference, but i just wish to voice out my thought..

Abit off topic, but i have a friend who is very particular about sugarcane juice. All taste the same to me.
Its all very subjective when it comes to food.

Food taste and preferences are subjective.
I suppose TS has not tasted not oily bak chor mee. Try the one at the Food Court in Millenia, good!

I remember there was a time when kway chap and white carrot cake was popular... that was some 10 years ago. Now I have no idea where to find good ones...

I've never fancied white char kweh over the brown one.Brown char kweh with lots of egg.....sedap man!

carrot cake is served either white or with sweet black sauce, not brown lar.
you have to eat the really good ones to appreciate white carrot cake.
most stalls serve mediocre white carrot cake.
