anyone tried preserved cockles? yummy

best with teochew porridge
get a jam jar, fill about 1/4 with dark soy sauce and minced garlic and about a couple of sliced chilli
shell the cooked cockles and make sure they're clean.. pop them into the jam jar...
continue until jar is almost full.. top up with more dark soy sauce and more smashed garlic...
cover, put in the fridge...
good for about a week...
great stuff when eating porridge
