The point, is MODESTY, somethg which our young children r sadly lacking nowadays.
And as u rightly put it, these children r KIDS.

the world has changed, people need to change with the world. where do u think the kids learn such behaviour?to them, its alrite becos its what they see!!its happening around them,so u cannot blame them for behaving like us!
are you implying that jux because they are being brought up in this way, what they did is justified? that they cannot be held responsible for their actions.Originally posted by ratinacage:do u know that the things u are wearing rite this moment would be consisdered immoral and un-modest and you will be arrested and people will be telling u that its is Not abt eras or decades, its about modesty!!!then they stone u to death.

So are you implying that an adolescent have less of a right to behave the manner he or she chooses, as compared to an adult? Tell me, where do we actually draw the line as to what behaviour is acceptable for a certain age group and what is not? Kissing in public is not, as you put it, what about holding hands? Where do we actually draw the fine boundary? The rationale is simple. I do not see anything which entitles adults to more rights to public display of affection. If adults can do it, what actually prevents teenagers from committing the same act? That they are only a few years junior to their older counterparts? That they are still under their parents' custody, and thus, are not entitled to rights which would otherwise be possessed by them?Originally posted by devoid05:are you implying that jux because they are being brought up in this way, what they did is justified? that they cannot be held responsible for their actions.
do not forget that the decision to exhibit such a behaviour lies with them. sp as long as they chose the path, they have to bear whatever consequences arise along with it, and that includes public condemnation.
if everyone does things without deference to a higher code of morals, as with PDA, bt rather based on their own carnal desires, can you imagine what will the world come to? can you envision a society where paedophiles, abusers, go scot free, just because their actions are merely a reflection of their social backgrounds? these are just extreme cases and may not apply to the example of kissing, bt the principle behind it is the same. public display of affection is itself an outrage of modesty. if teenagers so young can commit such acts, it may be a precedence to further misdeeds when they are older...
if you adjust yourself according to the screwed up morals of the world, and choose to glorify them, then you are no better than a chameleon, bereft of your own set of principles and values. and you will suffer the inevitable consequence of getting your life messed up like those drug addicts and underworld gangsters...
i am not saying that adolescents have no right to behave in a manner as he or she chooses.Originally posted by RETARDED_MORON:So are you implying that an adolescent have less of a right to behave the manner he or she chooses, as compared to an adult? Justify as in what,
What do you mean?
RETARDED_MORON?
Dun mean to be rude but your nick is really RETARDED_MORON.
And by what you say i really see why you chose such a specific nickname which really suits your persona. and if you dunno how to use the computer well, here's a metaphor: Computers are the vehicles of tomorrow. Throw your com away. But remeber, you can't stop loving... even yourself.

What you don't see, MR. RETARDED_MORON is that it's not justifiable for a 14 or let's say 10year old girl to kiss his/her significant other because they are too young to make decisions for themselves. Adults do that because, they are old enough. and i'm sure that for a teenage girl to make big choices is stupid.Originally posted by RETARDED_MORON:So are you implying that an adolescent have less of a right to behave the manner he or she chooses, as compared to an adult? And I am not much older here, but at least I take the extra mile to be mature and not JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS, or seize opportunities to humiliate others with cheap shots. Chances are you still would not get it, I am only 15-years-old this year.
Oh, so what you are saying here is since they are beyond a certain age, that immediately robs them of their rights of making decisions for themselves? Okay, let us assume that you are right (for the sake of the argument) and they really are not entitled to said rights, then who is to make decisions for them when it comes to subjects like these? You and your self-righteous mind? Their aged parents? Our own government? You are obviously losing the entire point. To spoonfeed it to you, they actually DO have a say in what they choose to display and exhibit in public, even if it offends you deeply; regardless of whether the law permits them to do so or not. The factors stated are all immaterial.Originally posted by 14_boy:What you don't see, MR. yeah i agree. it may not be visually pleasing to some to see a bunch of kids make out... but they are kids... still learning the ways of the world.. everyone goes through the same patch... who the hell thinks "oh i'm still young and innocent...." when they were a teenager.. they were all eager to grow up and think they're grown up. it's like a rite of passage.. just let them be.Originally posted by RETARDED_MORON:Oh, so what you are saying here is since they are beyond a certain age, that immediately robs them of their rights of making decisions for themselves? What annoys me is the sheer narrow-mindedness of the society today. Whenever a controversial topic like this is tossed into discussion, you will definitely hear a certain group of people clinging on adamantly to our ambiguously reasonable set of eastern values. I would not care THAT much if they were to keep their conservative opinions and ideas of modesty to themselves, but in reality, they try to impose their skewed perspective of ethics upon our youths. Please. Cut them some slack.
