I am not sure that Sly guy got do his homework or not, I am watching him perform in the past episodes, he is just turning a deaf ear to what the judges are saying on how he sings. If he could just take note, yesterday competition would be more exciting. -
Taufik is clearly better. If his album has songs like Me and Mrs Jones (that type), i'll buy it. and i don't like to buy CDs. heehee!
Yeah. Ken's comments were the best. No indication on whether sly could sing - hey, he didn't hit loads of notes.
i don't like Sharon Au, just watching yest show. my goodness. what kinda lame, dishonest and fako answers were those?!
i hope taufik gets to go on world idol, if there's one. that'd be such an honour - something other than Ms Singapore to put on stage, but one to be truly proud of. -

Taufik is remarkably amazing! I didn't know there is such talent in Singapore... I like him singing "Me and Mrs Jones" and "I Dream"...
I think Sly picked the wrong song yesterday. The way he sang "It's My Life" is totally unacceptable for a competition. His voice is like going to break anytime.
But I enjoy the performance by all the finalists and especially the self-composed song by Dick Lee. It's meaningful and the lyrics are funny. -

personally i don't think the judges'(esp dick lee) comments on sylvester were true at all. anyway sly might have done better if he didn't appear so nervous.. -

just heard on the radio that both taufik and sly will cut albums. sly will cut chinese album. record company will be a fool not to do so....the teenage gals will definitely buy his album.

who cares abt cutting albums ? its not part of the consieration. we need someone to represent SG, u dun want to put our national pride at risk by sending sly to go....its the world looking, popularity with ah lians not gonna work man,..... we need talent so that at least we send someone with quality not some clown who is well-liked by those ah lians.

Honestly when I first heard Taufik sing, I was like "who is this guy?????"
Many episodes later, I was like "wow, he's improved by leaps! Amazing"
Honestly, just my opinion, (World Idol is cancelled by the way, no point, making 10 losers out of 11 winners), if Taufik had gone on to World Idol, at least he has some standard and his voice is more versatile and stronger compared to Sly. Can you imagine if SLy had chosen the wrong songs (he suits Chinese songs & rock the best) and sang in World Idol and pitching went wrong when he tries falsettos i.e the Phantom of the Opera song
Anycase, Taufik prob will release his first album, prob venture into the Malaysian & Indonesian markets, do some cameos in drama serials....whereas Sly may rise faster as he has the chinese rock appeal. The marketing agent just have to promote him to Taiwan....Hong Kong...

The judges dare not say too much bad things about Sylvester , they knew that the more they comments against Sly, the more Sly will get the vote , they learnt it thru the last few rounds !

well the norwegian idol kurt nielsen looks like a hobbit but he can really really sing. And it's the voice tt matters, in the end image is bot everything. People would buy a cd if the singer is really good. Sylvester's voice at most is just mediocre.
